Wednesdays With Wheeler
This is my monthly series written by me to keep our members informed of what’s going on in MDNA mixed in with some fun positive life gaining stuff thrown in along the way. These article will appear in the Biweekly, the MDNA News and on social media. And you can always find them in the MDNA Blog.
August Wednesdays With Wheeler
This month I just want to take this opportunity to let all who missed it know that the Detroit/Toledo golf outing was an incredible success. The MDNA leadership team of this association are very proud of this event. The Detroit/ Toledo Chapter Officers led by Chairman Parker Patrona and Chapter Board Representative Nick Gibbs and all who were involved, delivered an incredible event. Everything from the Golf to the meeting and including the networking and fellowship was stellar. All the sponsors should be thanked too. And thanks to the generosity of the sponsors the Detroit Toledo Annual Golf Tournament gave away some $15,000 in gifts and prizes. That’s the kind of stuff I dig. I couldn’t have been happier to have attended this great event. It drew players from every chapter, and you should attend next year too. Every Chapter can emulate this success story and have their own special event.
June Wednesdays With Wheeler
Hey guys and gals, it’s Wheeler. This article is the start of a monthly series to keep our members informed of what’s going on in MDNA mixed in with some fun positive life gaining stuff.
I will always do my best to keep the train moving forward in the right direction. I have found for me and my business; this has been a very valuable tool.
Our association is doing well. Financially, we are as strong as ever. We have made many adjustments over the past five years to get back on track. Two things that needed our attention were Locator and our Alexandria building.
Over the past few years, we were able to team up with Machine Hub, which allowed us to revitalize Locator into an internet presence. We were able to get back on track and have had great success with our bulk email packages and CRMS sales. And I am happy to report that Locator is profitable today.

July Wednesdays With Wheeler
Our officer team and committee chairs had our annual summer planning session in Lake Arrowhead, CA. It was an incredible weekend of planning events for the following year and bonding as a team. Our main focus is you - our members and premier vendors. We want every experience, every touch you have with your association to be a good one. The content and material we provide you as members is crucial to the benefit of your membership. We realize this and our priority is to get our chapters moving in a positive direction, with well-thought-out meetings that provide activities that peak all our interest levels. Further to this end, please share with your chapter leadership or me directly any ideas that you think may be of interest to you and your fellow members. We are always interested in new creative ideas.
With the sale of our building, MDNA was able to extricate itself from what was once a very positive investment for our

I am excited to attend the Detroit/Toledo Golf Outing next month and in fact I think this is such a great event I am bringing out several members of the Wheeler team, including my son Garrett. Next up is our September board meetings which will be in Las Vegas, NV. This will be held in conjunction with a joint chapter meeting with the West Coast and Southern Regional Chapters. This is an incredible opportunity to get away for a weekend and stay at a first-class resort in the Four Seasons Hotel.

Meet The New AMEA President
Doris Toronyi, CEA
Doris Toronyi, Senior Appraiser of Maynards, has been appointed as the first woman president of the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA). This marks a historic moment for the organization and reflects the growing presence of women in leadership roles within the appraisal industry.
As she has expressed before, Doris does not see herself as a “woman president,” but rather as a president who happens to be a woman. However, she also recognizes that being the first carries significance. It signals that something has shifted—that doors are opening wider and that the definition of leadership is expanding. For this, she is grateful—not only for herself but for every person who has ever waited for a seat at the table.
In the coming months, she looks forward to working closely with the board, committees, and, most importantly, the members themselves. Their input, ideas, and involvement will be essential in shaping the organization’s direction and success. Doris’s goal is to foster a collaborative environment where every voice is heard and valued.
Carl Davis Elected
LOCATOR Services Inc. President
Meet Carl Davis, owner of The Equipment Hub, and now the new president of LOCATOR Services Inc. Carl has served on the board for the last six years, first as a director, then as treasurer, and most recently as vice president. LOCATOR is now operating in the black, and Carl sees tremendous potential in it’s product offerings.
"I am thrilled to step into my new role as president of LOCATOR Services Inc. LOCATOR has a long tradition of helping fellow MDNA members through its product advertising services. In recent years, we've expanded into CRM software solutions via Machine Hub and email blast services. I look forward to carrying on these traditions and working to enhance these services even further for MDNA members. Following in the footsteps of a distinguished line of past presidents, I hope to be as effective and impactful as they have been in guiding this organization. The LOCATOR board has some exciting ideas we're eager to implement in the coming months—we can't wait to share them with you!"
