My name is Marc and I create imagery for arts and cultural organisations, and for the people who work in them. My goal is to work collaboratively with people to help them build the profile they need in order to continue sharing their talents with the world.
I hope this booklet gives you an idea of how I work and the images we could create together. And I hope that after taking a look through you’ll be itching to get started, so you'll find my contact details on the back page. Please get in touch to arrange your photoshoot or to ask any questions you have. I hope to hear from you very soon.
Marc Gascoigne
There are many good reasons for why you should hire a professional photographer to capture your performance or event, but I think the most important one is that it shows how seriously you take your craft.
Having well produced photography demonstrates that you care about sharing your work in the best possible way. It gives the viewer a window into what you create and how you communicate that to your audience. I like to think of what I do as the finishing touch to all the hard work you've put into developing your talent.
A photographer who understands the dedication you bring to your profession is the photographer who will put that same dedication into capturing your work in the best possible way. That's the commitment I'd like to bring to projects, so if you have anything upcoming you'd like to discuss then please do get in touch.

My grandfather and great uncle brought me to photography. They were never professionals themselves but were all mechanically minded and enjoyed the technical proficiency required from their hobby. My grandfather furnished me with my first camera, my great uncle donated one of his books to me, and my largely self-taught journey through photography started there.
I kept it as a hobby until I emerged from university with a degree in music, wondering if there might be a better direction for me to head in. While working in marketing I firmly fixed my sights on being a freelance photographer and took that terrifying first step of resigning a salaried job age 27.
Like many photographers, I love the magic of using a camera to freeze a moment in time in the most pleasing way possible. But alongside that, photography is a way to stay on my feet - to meet people, go places and experience things that I might otherwise have missed. For me photography is where curiosity and art meet.
I think this is what makes me a good person to collaborate with. If you enjoy meeting people and are endlessly curious about the work they produce, then you will be tireless in finding all the ways you can show that work at its best. And with a background of working in the field myself, I know how to treat you and the space you're working in with respect and sensitivity.
Today my work takes in a mixture of portrait photography and capturing the creative industries and performing arts in action. If you’d like to see more my website is at www.marcgascoigne.com and I’m on Instagram at @mdgascoigne.

Thank you for your interest in working with me. As a passionate professional specialising in photography for the performing arts and the people who make them happen, I aim to create work that shows your vision and creativity at its best.
I’m dedicated to providing a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Whether it's your first time working with a photographer or you're a seasoned pro, I am here to guide you through the process and ensure that everything runs smoothly. I believe in building long-term relationships with my clients built on communication and mutual understanding, which is why I take the time to learn about your needs and how you work.
To ensure clarity and smooth collaboration, please take a moment to read myterms and conditions. By confirming a shoot date, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms. I'm always open to discussing any specific needs or variations, but please note that any changes must be agreed upon in writing beforehand.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don't hesitate to ask.
Your shoot fee includes a predetermined number of high-resolution, colour-corrected images. Typically I select the final images, but if you'd prefer to make the selection yourself I'm happy to accommodate. In this case, I'll provide an online gallery of lowresolution, watermarked images for your review.
Should you decide to select more images than included in the shoot fee, additional images can be purchased at a per-image rate, as outlined in my rate card. Please keep in mind that if you choose the final images yourself, the five-working-day turnaround time begins once you have made your selection, not from the shoot date.
The shoot fee also covers the Usage License and Exclusivity Period. After the exclusivity period expires, some images may be available for non-commercial use elsewhere, such as through picture agencies. Any variations to this arrangement will be detailed in your quotation and must be agreed upon in writing beforehand.
I reserve the right to use the images for my promotional purposes during the exclusivity period. If this poses a problem, please let me know in advance so we can discuss it.
Once your final images are ready, you will receive a download link to access them. Please ensure you download the images within 30 days, as the files will be removed from the server after this period. If you happen to lose the images later, feel free to reach out. While I can't guarantee it, I often have backups and will do my best to help.
I am always eager to see where my images are used! If you can share examples of the photos in action, I would be delighted to see them. Also, don't forget to connect with me on LinkedIn or Instagram—details can be found on the back cover.
I am committed to understanding how my clients like to work so that I can be the most effective photographer for you. I hope this means we'll be collaborating on many more projects in the future.
