When I was a girl, I wished I could fly! I still do on occasion, but I’ve found flying to look a bit different these days.
As a child I was always one of those kids with a wild imagination. I was constantly writing stories, creating art, and at the tender age of 7, I was thrown into a whole different world of imagination, community theater.
Twenty-seven years and over a hundred shows later, I never could have imagined that my directorial debut would be about a story that I’ve always held so close to my heart, Peter Pan.
Granted, my introduction to that Boy was through the movie, Hook. In Hook, Peter Pan becomes the thing he always hated, a grown up...but throughout the movie you watch him make his long awaited return to Neverland and re-find how to use his imagination with a little help from the Lost Boys; all just to save his children from the dreaded Captain Hook. There are mermaids, pirates, sword fights, flingable make-believe food, and yes, flying. If that movie has taught me anything, it’s that you may grow older, but it doesn’t mean you need to grow up...And thankfully I’ve never wanted to grow up since.
Much like in the movie, Hook, this production has also taught me how to re-find my imagination in the year since losing my mother.
So, sit back, relax and keep a close eye out, because in Peter & the Starcatcher, not everything is as it seems. You’ll find many twists and turns along the way. Some people may become walls, stairs, stars and maybe even a vicious ticking crocodile. You never know what you may see when you board the Neverland.

Tyler Ball (Lord Leonard Aster)
Lord Leonard Aster, welcomes you aboard a fantastical journey in Peter and the Starcatcher, where he navigates the realms of magic and adventure as a noble guardian of powerful starstuff. Surrounded by an ensemble of equally talented cast and crew, he revels in bringing this enchanting story to life, a testament to friendship, adventure, and the magic of never growing up. He assures an unforgettable voyage filled with laughter, heart, and a sprinkle of pixie dust! He is profoundly grateful for the support of friends and family, who fuel his journey to neverland and beyond.
Erica Belovich ( Ted)
Erica is thrilled to be taking a trip on a ship for her third show at MCT! When she’s not on stage dreaming of pork belly pie, Erica enjoys running, watching Gilmore Girls for the first time (no spoilers, please), and planning lots of group outings with friends. She’d like to thank her wonderful family and friends and her cat, Cosmo, for all of their love and support. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she enjoys sticky pudding!
Dani Cantor (Teacher / Ensemble)
Dani is thrilled to be scrubbing imaginary decks, pulling imaginary (and corporeal) ropes, and living her best mermaid life in Peter and the Starcatcher. While she was not (to her knowledge) a scotch salmon in a former life, she does feel a little like a fish-turned-mermaid each time she is onstage with her MCT family. You may have recently caught her in the Cozy Cabaret, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Matilda, How to Succeed in Business, or Big Fish. All the love and thanks to her family, friends, and feline sons, Oliver & Pippin.
Sean Collins (Captain Robert Falcon Scott)
This is Sean's debut on the MCT stage, and he is thrilled about it! He has previously appeared at both Playcrafters of Skippack and DCP in Telford. He would like to thank the cast and crew for making this amazing show happen! Enjoy the show!
Chad Curtis (Bill Slank / Hawking Clam)
Chad is excited to be a part of his first production with MCT! He has also performed in Jenkintown Musical Theater’s 9 to 5 (Dwayne Rhodes/Ensemble), and Willow Manor Player's productions of Elf (Charlie/Chadwick) and Something Rotten (Member of Nick's Troupe/Ensemble). Behind the scenes, Chad has contributed to set construction and fabricated special properties for Jenkintown Musical Theater’s productions of Bright Star and 9 to 5. He was the co-scenic designer and set painter for The Dramateurs' production of She Loves Me at the Barn Playhouse. When Chad is not on stage, he works as a visual artist and educator at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture and spends his summers sailing the Chesapeake Bay, pretending to be a seafarer.
Benjamin Fickinger (Smee)
Ben has had an absolutely splendid time learning the intricacies of seafaring for Peter and the Starcatcher. This is his second time playing a wacky villain on the Shannondell stage, previously being seen as Mr. Wormwood in MCT’s Matilda: the Musical. You may also recognize Ben from Servent on Apple TV+ where he played the back of Rupert Grint’s head (and his whole body from very very far away). Ben is oh so very thankful to his fellow cast mates and the production team for indulging his silliness and for engaging in on (and off) stage antics with him; he hopes the audience has as much fun seeing this spectacular story unfold as the cast has in sharing it.
Cecilia Haubold (Molly)
Cecilia is excited to set sail and loop the loop up to the stars in MCTs production of Peter and the Starcatcher. She has been away from theater for some time now, and is happy to be home. Much thanks for the cast, crew, and all the piggies involved in making her first show at MCT one to remember.
Nathan M. Kendrick (Black Stache)
Nathan is a Chester County based musician and actor who is elated to make their MCT debut. He serves as organist and Director of Music at Paoli UMC, and sings with The Brandywine Singers and Ama Deus Ensemble. Previous roles include: FrankN-Furter (The Rocky Horror Show), Leon Czolgosz (Assassins), and Loud Stone (Eurydice), all at Footlighters Theater. Nathan also plays keyboard in theater pits and has directed music for productions at Footlighters Theater and Steel River Playhouse. A proud brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Kendrick is an alumnus of Susquehanna University. (He/They)
Ellie Knickman (Grempkin / Fighting Prawn)
Ellie's checkered performing career stretches across the continent, from Arizona (contra dance caller) to North Dakota (folk music radio DJ) to Ontario (Animal Planet docudrama extra) to Virginia (title role in The Tempest, long story) to most recently Delaware (the Dame in Panto of the Opera). She confidently states that the greater Philly community theater scene is the best of all bar none. Through all this madness, she is a librarian during the day, currently at DCCC.
Juliette Nero Eddings (Boy)
Juliette recently graduated from Rider University with a BFA in Acting. This is her MCT debut! Previous theatrical credits include: Much Ado About Nothing (Don John/The Watch), Footlighter's 24 Hour Play Festival, The One Act Play That Goes Wrong (Chris/Inspector Carter), Love and Information (Ensemble), Like Father Like Son: World Premiere (Leah), Everybody (Kinship/Strength). Much love and gratitude to the cast, crew, and fantastic creative team for making this an awfully big adventure.
Gregory Palmer (Mack / Ensemble)
Gregory is excited to be joining the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher in his first on stage role. Normally a finance guy, he’s been exploring his creative side with acting classes such as Film & Television Acting and Theater Acting through Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. Outside of acting, his hobbies include board games, escape rooms, and traveling.
Madison Rich (Sanchez / Ensemble)
Madison is ecstatic to be making her return to the MCT stage! Upcoming, she can be seen in Forge Theatre's production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Previously, she has been seen in: The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon (Forge), Once Upon a Mattress (Forge), City of Angels (MCT), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (The Barn Playhouse). Many thanks to the cast and crew and love to her friends and family, especially her husband James, who she married during rehearsals and is so excited that she can finally say husband.
Katie Sacco (Prentiss)
Katie is ecstatic to take on the role of Prentiss as playing a teenage boy has always been one of her dream roles (she’s still hoping to be a tree at some point). Previously, you might have seen her in Big Fish, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Matilda or the Cozy Cabaret at MCT. She was also part of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the 24 Hour Theater Festival at Footlighters. She wants to thank the production team and her cast for all of the work they’ve put into this show. Given Prentiss is the leader, she hopes you will enjoy this production of Prentiss and the Starcatcher.
Dustin Timmerman (Mrs. Bumbrake)
Dustin is thrilled to make his theatrical debut with MCT! While new to the theater scene, Dustin brings lots of enthusiasm and creativity to the stage. When he's not perfecting his tongue twisters or practicing his mermaid moves, Dustin can often be found immersed in epic Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, spending quality time with his two cats, or exploring new crafting techniques to fuel his artistic passions. Dustin extends abundant heartfelt gratitude to his spouse, friends, and family for their unwavering support and encouragement as he embarks on this exciting new journey!
Daniel Wentzel (Alf)
Daniel is an actor, author, playwright, and director who specializes in being a generalist. He would like to shamelessly plug his podcast of radio plays, Seat of Our Pants Players (Available basically anywhere you get your podcasts, and on YouTube.) Favorite previous roles include: Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Gillette in The Game's Afoot, and the myriad of roles he performed at Renaissance Faires over the years. Special thanks to Jill, who deserves all the special thanks in the world.
After spending the majority of her theater career in complete darkness; Gabrielle has emerged from the void to transform into her new role as director! The last time she was allowed out into the light was to Assistant Direct, Matilda, right here at MCT; but she was shortly sent back again to reign in the massive amounts of children and wooden cubes. Gabrielle would like to thank her fearless crew of theater dwellers, also known as the production team; especially Maeve, her right hand woman, for putting up with her antics. Special thanks to Jenn Witek, for introducing her to this magical show all those years ago. And finally a huge shout out to Peg Cherelli, for teaching her it’s okay to never want to grow up. Love and miss you always! ♥
Sam is excited to be part of this amazing production! Sam recenter directed Roald Dahl's Matilda for MCT’s 2023 summer show. In addition, Sam recently appeared as Amos Calloway in MCT’s 2022 production of Big Fish. Sam has also directed, and music directed numerous musicals in the Montgomery County area including The Addams Family, Once Upon a Mattress, Godspell, and Frozen, Jr. Sam would like to thank the production team for the opportunity and his percussion assistant and husband, Marss, for trying something new together! This is a fantastic play with exciting musical accompaniment and he is honored to be a part of it! Break legs and starstuff!
Sean McGarry (Fight Choreographer)
Sean McGarry is soooo excited and honored to be a part of this production of Peter and the Starcatcher with Methacton Community Theater and had a blast working with everyone. Sean has been teaching, choreographing, and directing fights since 2007 throughout the Philadelphia/South Jersey area and also teaches whip cracking professionally. Other recent credits include: Bonnie & Clyde with Haddonfield Plays & Players (2024), She Kills Monsters with Colonial Playhouse (2024), I Hate Hamlet with the Ritz Theater Company (2023), and Les Miserables with the Hill School (2023).
Maeve O'Brien (Assistant Director)
Maeve is the Assistant Director for Peter and the Starcatcher. She was recently seen onstage in A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and Matilda. She has also costumed for First Date, Big Fish, and SpongeBob this summer. Thank you to the cast and crew for all your hard work on the show. Break a leg!
Suzanne Rainear (Choreographer)
Suzanne is happy to be back at MCT and had a ball collaborating with Gabi and Maeve on this hilarious production. She is proud of the cast and excited to share the show with the community. The story of Peter Pan is near and dear to her heart, and exploring this prequel story has been energizing. Most recently, she choreographed Oliver! at NCT. Some of her favorite choreography credits include: Big Fish, 13 the Musical, Anything Goes, Zombie Prom, and High School Musical. Her onstage credits include: The Producers (Ulla), The Who’s Tommy (Sally), Urinetown (Little Becky Two Shoes), Cabaret (Texas), How to Succeed... (Hedy), and Matilda (Mrs. Wormwood). By day, she plays a Bookkeeper/Marketing Assistant for KMA Design Studio. She would like to thank her family and her fiancé, Jesse, for all of their love and support.
