the alt-music scene. Signing to Rough Trade Records in 2015, they presented their debut album, Holding Hands with Jamie, returning in 2019 to unleash their second album, The Talkies, which was celebrated as one of the biggest comebacks of the year. Cath Bloomfield explores colour, texture and narrative using the medium of collagraph and collage. Bristol Choral Society & Bristol Ensemble: Stravinsky Symphony of Psalms & Faure Requiem

n 5 November, Clifton Cathedral Bristol Choral Society is very pleased to bring you this programme which was due to be performed March 2020. Refined over a decade, Stravinsky’s Mass for the Dead sustains an abiding solace discharged in the luminescent hope and reassurance of the concluding In Paradisium. First though there’s profound spirituality of a different order as glittering woodwind, brass, two pianos and harp queue up to reflect the laser-sharp light of Stravinsky’s triptych ‘symphonising the singing of Psalms’.
