Determining Eligibility: • 6-semester GPA on a 4.00 scale (at the end of junior year) • Minimum qualifying score earned by December 2021 ACT/SAT test dates

• Awards are only made to accepted students eligible to enroll in collegelevel English and math

NOTES: • Awarding of scholarships will begin October 1 • Housing scholarships only apply to on-campus housing • Scholarships are available for 8 regular semesters • Official ACT Superscores sent directly to McNeese from ACT may be considered for individual, holistic review of a student seeking admission, scholarship and course placement consideration.

A scholarship is merit-based and is awarded for academic, athletic and/or special performance achievements and DOES NOT have to be repaid.

A grant is awarded by the state or federal government and is usually based on financial need and DOES NOT have to be repaid.

...a loan?

A loan is money that you borrow and MUST be repaid with interest. Student loans can come from the federal government, from private entities such as a bank or from other financial institutions.
