Meals on Wheels Yolo County

Our mission is to nourish and enrich the lives of individuals in Yolo County with emphasis on those age 60 and older, by providing nutritious meals to active and homebound people thereby promoting their health, well-being, and independence.

Winters Farm to School

Our mission is to raise funds to provide fresh, local produce, fruits and nuts for our children’s school food program; to educate children about the positive, long-term health benefits of healthy eating habits; and to reconnect children to the rich, deeply rooted agricultural heritage in the community.

Woodland Volunteer Bureau Food Closet

The Woodland Food Closet provides a basic, direct service. Our clients are individuals, families, seniors, children and infants. The Woodland Food Closet is the only agency in Woodland to provide food distribution on a daily basis, Monday through Friday.

Yolo Farm to Fork

Our mission is to educate the public, especially our children, about the value of a farm-to-table community food system that also teaches us to value the environment.

Yolo Food Bank

Yolo Food Bank durably increases food and nutrition security and helps create an equitable and sustainable local food system by connecting individuals and families to healthy, high-quality food and resources; collaborating with community partners to deepen outreach and address food needs; and convening key players in the community.

Yolo Land Trust

Yolo Land Trust has one simple & vital mission: to conserve farmland in Yolo County. We have partnered with over 40 family farmers who agreed to keep their farms in farming forever. Now, more than 12,000 acres in Yolo County will always grow food.

Health Care Cancer Champions

The Cancer Champions mission is to build an empowering community where cancer survivors gain physical, mental, and emotional support through our specialized fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs, as well as private, one-on-one coaching.

BRIGHT supplies consultative services in Music Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Recreational Therapy, and Education. The purpose of Davis Community Meals is to provide low-income and homeless individuals and families with housing, food, and human services to help them rebuild their lives.

Empower Yolo’s mission is to promote safe, healthy, and resilient communities through community outreach and educational programs about available resources to promote health, stability, and self-sufficiency for individuals and families.

Grace in Action Inc

Our purpose is to restore hope and dignity through compassionate care, spiritual companionship, and referrals to local agencies. Our goal is for guests to know they are welcome and valued. Once a person trusts an organization and feels cared for, the services and referrals we offer are more likely to be accepted.

Mercy Coalition

The Mercy Coalition exists as an expression of tangible and intangible embrace to those impacted by homelessness and poverty in West Sacramento. We are a diverse and inclusive interfaith collaborative, mobilized for works of compassion and empowerment, holding reverence and worth for each individual and the story they’re in.

Purple Tree Café

Our mission is to provide community-based employment for people with disabilities and to promote an inclusive community of people with and without disabilities. We provide employment in baking and selling vegan treats; we promote community through music, art, and community events.

Short Term Emergency Aid Committee (STEAC)

The mission of the Short Term Emergency Aid Committee (STEAC) is to provide immediate shortterm assistance with basic necessities to Yolo County families and individuals with incomes below the poverty level.

Special Olympics Northern California

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship.

Yolo County Children’s Alliance

Yolo County Children’s Alliance helps families, particularly non-English speaking families, access services, learn valuable parenting skills, and find support. We do this through family strengthening programs which focus on the following areas: family support, education, and community collaboration and advocacy.

The mission of the Yolo Crisis Nursery is to provide early intervention services in a safe environment to nurture healthy and resilient children, strengthen parents, and preserve families.

The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance promotes the well-being of older adults through Education, Collaboration, and Advocacy.

Yolo Interfaith Immigration Network

Yolo Interfaith Immigration Network (YIIN) is a group of people serving and advocating for immigrants in Yolo County. We believe that by working together we can make our community a better place for all of us to live and thrive.

Mental Health & Crisis Intervention

All Things Right and Relevant

We provide employment development opportunities for Yolo County mental health clients and supplemental funding for nonprofit agencies serving the mental health needs of Yolo County when possible. As a secondary mission, we provide a resource to reduce carbon emissions and waste by reusing, repurposing and recycling through local second-hand shopping.

NAMI Yolo County

NAMI Yolo County provides advocacy, support, education, and public awareness so that all individuals and families who are affected by mental health conditions can build better lives.
