Please make sure you are aware of the fairgrounds rules before arriving. They are designed for everyone’s safety.

Friday night, get your ticket for the Truck & Tractor Pull. For only $10, watch the mighty trucks fight for domination. The excitement is exhilarating, and the grandstands will be “Moovin’ and Groovin’ ” from the rumble of these powerful machines. Saturday evening, for no fee, the traditional Johnny Wheelbarrow races kick off at 5:00. Watch kids, high school teams, and even old-timers compete in the grueling course with heavy bags of wet sand. See who carries the most weight the fastest and cheer them on. Do you like off-road driving? Been through the Rubicon? Wonder what it’s like? Watch your friends and neighbors compete in their modified, and some not, rigs over a Rubicon-like track. The Speedway turns into a mini Rubicon as side-by-side, jeeps and trucks rock and roll over boulders, through mud holes, and hope for the win in this homegrown, exciting competition. Head over to the Grandstands Sunday at 2:00 for this exciting free event.

El Dorado County Fair Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit, is thrilled to throw the biggest party on the West Slope of El Dorado County. Our annual county fair brings approximately 80,000 people through its gates over the four days of the fair. With four stages, fairgoers can find live music anytime during the fair. Adult beverages may be purchased at the Capital and Tiki bar, the proceeds directly benefit the Fair Association, margaritas from the Rotary Club of Georgetown, Beer from the American Legion Post 119, and wine and craft beer from the Rotary Club of Cameron Park. A special treat on Sunday, Green Valley Community Church will share the Word on our Mountain Valley Health Plan Stage (on the Main Lawn) at 12:30.
This year, learn all that you can about sharks. View live sharks and enjoy the antics of the diver in their tank, yes, with the sharks.
The fair has plenty of fun and educational opportunities, especially for the kiddos. They can put on their own circus, enter a funnel cake eating contest, race their friends in big wheels, see who can blow the biggest bubble, pan for gold, see a fire truck up close and personal, meet our local law enforcement, join the Sheriff’s Explorers, explore the Rubicon from the fairgrounds, see how to spin wool, and so much more.

It is proven that youth who participate in 4-H, FFA, and Grange will be better leaders and adults. Support our future leaders at the Jr Livestock Auction, Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am. Buyers may enter the fairgrounds through the Armory Road Gate between 8 and 9am to register at the Auction Ring.

I would like to thank everyone entrusting us with your precious children since 1999. I love being part of this community and helping children learn and grow. With 4 children of my own (now 27, 24, 15 and 14), my own journey began in the daycare preschool eld because I was unhappy with the care and education I was receiving.
I have been blessed to have a large facility in El Dorado Hills where I employ 50 loving teachers and care for 300 children. We offer education and care for babies, Preschoolers, Pre-K, and private Kindergarten, before and after school. Don’t be fooled by our large size, our teachers make each classroom homey and warm. The kids have lots of outdoor space to play, we are on over an acre and have 4 large playgrounds, a soccer eld, and
outdoor area gives the kids space to explore, garden, and play on age appropriate playgrounds.
The teachers at The Gift of Kids Daycare and Preschool include talent that brings us music, yoga, and even Spanish on a daily basis. We have been working with soccer shots for over 7 years and have a very structured and advanced curriculum! Teachers here are all educated in child development, CPR and First Aid certi ed, and make it a priority to continue their education.
The Gift of Kids Inc. is celebrating 26 years in business, with 16 years in our same location, Business Park 1. We could not have done it without the
community that I have called home for over 20 years!
