Council to set goals, priorities for homeless initiatives

FAIRFIELD — A Solano County woman in her early 20s made her way to the Solano Trauma Rescue Center. As she received counseling support, her story as a human trafficking victim came out.

But like so many victims, this woman did not want to go to law enforcement. Not only is she terrified of reprisals, but her mother also has expressed her fear for her own health. “When we think of sexual assault being the most under-reported

President Joe Biden delivers a speech at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland, Saturday.

LVIV, Ukraine — With the war in Ukraine at a critical juncture, President Joe Biden on Saturday used the capital of a country once dominated by the Soviet Union to demand an end to Russian President Vladimir Putin‘s vast power and to exhort U.S. allies to stand up to Russia’s brutal invasion of its neighbor. “The test of this moment is a test of all time,” Biden said in what was designed as a rousing speech for unity uttered at a Polish castle destroyed by Nazis in World War II – and later rebuilt. “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in
