FAIRFIELD — Adriana Gabriel, 34, of Suisun City was wearing her red, white and blue Mickey Mouse ears, and her son, Liam, 3, was also decked out in patriotic colors and riding in a red wagon Sunday for the annual 4th of July Parade, which ran through downtown Fairfield. “We make it every year,” she said. Gabriel was cheering in the car on the way to the parade because the Independence Day parade and
festivities were something that she missed in 2020. “The sense of normalcy is very nice,” she said. “Without the celebration last year it just didn’t feel the same.” Her husband, Jeff Gabriel, agreed. FAIRFIELD — The U.S. Coast Guard reported 767 boating fatalities nationwide in 2020, a 25.1% increase from 2019. “There is evidence that boating activity increased significantly during the (Covid-19) pandemic, from reports of increased
boat sales, insurance policies taken out, insurance claims and calls for towing assistance.
