Police report 1 injured in shooting in Suisun City Daily Republic Staff

SUISUN CITY — One person was shot several times Saturday night along a major city thoroughfare in the latest in a string of shooting incidents. Police dispatchers were notified at approximately 7:30 p.m. of a shooting on the 700 block of Sunset Avenue. Additional callers reported that a vehicle with a gunshot victim inside was stopped on the 300 block of Ridgecrest Circle. That’s where officers found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The injuries were not life-threatening, according to police. He was

taken to a local hospital for treatment. His name, age and city of residence were not released. Officers found evidence of the shooting on the 800 block of Sunset Avenue, police report. They also collected evidence where the man was found on Ridgecrest Circle. The shooting Saturday is the latest in a series of shooting incidents in the city in recent weeks.
