CITY OF DAVIS ORDINANCE SUMMARY NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN on June 2, 2020, the City Council of the City of Davis, California, introduced, and on June 16, 2020, the City Council will consider adopting the following entitled ordinance: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 40 OF THE CITY OF DAVIS MUNICIPAL CODE REZONING THE PARCEL LOCATED AT 1111 H STREET (APN #070-144-03), COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 0.26 ACRES, FROM RESIDENTIAL GARDEN APARTMENT (R-3-M) TO PLANNED DEVELOPMENT (PD) #02-18 (PAUL’S PLACE)
The following description summarizes the aforementioned ordinance to be adopted by the City Council:
Rezone for Planned Development. The proposed Ordinance will amend Davis Municipal Code section 40.01.090 for the 0.26-acre property located at 1111 H Street (APN 070-144-03). The purpose of this planned development is to provide an institutional residential district with a base zone of Residential Garden Apartment (R-3-M) in a suitable environment for a multifunctional homeless facility consisting of institutional residential, transitional housing, emergency shelter, and supportive services, that is compatible with existing adjacent neighborhoods and uses, supports reduced vehicle trips; and promotes energy and resource conservation. Planned Development #2-18 establishes the multifunctional homeless facility as a principal permitted use with additional allowed uses consistent with the R-3-M district (Section 40.08) and the development standards as established in the Final Planned Development with a base zoning of R-3-M. The Planned Development is subject to applicable mitigation measures from the Initial Study/MND prepared for the project.
