Charges filed in Tahoe murder Tahoe Daily Tribune SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — Murder charges have been filed in the 2019 death of a South Lake Tahoe man. The El Dorado County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Alan Isaias MartinezPerez, 24, a suspect in the Dec. 15, 2019, death of Jorge Campos, officials announced Thursday. The South Lake Tahoe Police Department also arrested Shannon Cecilia Simpson, 26, for reportedly being an accessory to the murder after the fact, states a press release. Topics such as the redistricting process, the development of a virtual engagement hub and providing a way for residents to virtually “draw” their own maps were discussed at a second redistricting workshop held at the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors meeting room in Placerville Aug. 3. The U.S. Constitution requires a count of U.S. residents every 10 years and that data is used to redraw the county’s supervisorial district lines to reflect how local populations have changed. Boundaries are redrawn to ensure districts are substantially equal in population. El Dorado County’s redistricting team, which consists of the Chief Administrative Office, Surveyor’s Office and the GIS team, identified the three most important mapping factors — geographic contiguity, integrity of local communities of interest and integrity of cities or census-designated places.
