The Sheriff ’s Office declined to release any further details, including how the victim died or if Cilley resided at 4271 Fowler Lane, which was surrounded by crime scene tape Friday. Neighbors said they thought a UPS delivery driver may have alerted authorities and that two men had moved into the Fowler Lane house about one month ago. No further information was released by the Sheriff ’s Office as of press time as investigators continue to follow leads in identifying a suspect.

Has anyone seen this truck? It was stolen from New Beginnings' parking lot in Placerville early Saturday morning.
New Beginnings has message for truck thief Eric Jaramishian Staff writer A truck used to help re-entry ministry New Beginnings Gold Country in its fundraising efforts was reportedly stolen Saturday from the parking lot of the nonprofit’s thrift shop on Missouri Flat Road in Placerville. While New Beginnings team members said they need the vehicle back to continue their work, they also offered the thief “an opportunity to change their life through our program.” “The person doesn’t PLACE ADDRESS LABEL HERE
have to live like this,” said New Beginnings Operations Manager Emma Burns. “It is not fun having to steal.” New Beginnings was using the white Ford dually, which they had recently purchased and refurbished for about $11,000, to tow unwanted or used vehicles with a flatbed trailer, generating income for two re-entry homes that help men and women transition out of juvenile hall, jail and prison. New Beginnings sent out a news release Monday afternoon in an effort to get the truck back, sharing security camera footage that shows it being driven off at about 5:01 a.m. The truck appears to turn right onto Missouri Flat Road from the shop. Until the vehicle is returned, organization leaders are asking for help in finding a truck that they can borrow to continue their work. “Towing junk vehicles with this new truck was a step closer for us to become self-supporting. Now we are really in a bind,” states the news release. n
