EDH safe theft suspects caught Village Life staff
It’s case closed for a residential burglary that occurred about a year ago, El Dorado County sheriff’s officials have reported. EDSO detectives recently arrested Daniel Faddis, 39, and Rachel Leventin, 36, in connection with the theft of a safe from an El Dorado Hills residence. The home’s safe was removed and approximately $50,000 in cash was stolen, officials stated. “The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation team collected potential DNA samples from evidence that was left at the scene,” a sheriff’s Facebook post shares. “Approximately one year later the DNA test results came back with a direct match to a male subject residing in the Roseville area. “Detectives completed and obtained an arrest warrant

“They look like ‘Field of Dreams’ lights,” exclaimed Heritage resident Rick Burgardt of the tennis court lights recently installed at Heritage Park. The park is under construction and due to be completed this fall. But, unlike the movie, it’s not a baseball field for ghosts and, according to neighbors, shouldn’t be lit. Heritage Park is located off Carson Crossing Drive amidst the over-55 active adult neighborhoods of Heritage and nearby Four Seasons. Although initial plans for the park included lighted tennis, pickleball and bocce ball courts, last March a petition was submitted to the El Dorado Hills Community Services District to request that park hours be modified to eliminate the need for lighting; 160 residents signed the petition. The following May, CSD board members approved a dawn-to-dusk operation with no evening lighted courts, ■
