J
esse Williams and Mark Brunton had met before ... not that Williams would remember. Twenty-seven years ago Brunton and five fellow Cameron Park firefighters walked into Williams’ parent’s home just in time for Brunton to catch a brand-new baby boy. He would be named Jesse and later become a Cameron Park Fire Department intern, working at the very station where his birth-story heroes were assigned.
In December Williams shared stories and smiles with Brunton — a meeting both of them will remember this time. Williams’ mother Kim Hart shared the Valentine’s Day birth story with the media during the gathering, explaining that she and her then husband Dick decided their sixth baby would be born in the comfort of their Cameron Park home with the help of a midwife. Blackstone residents can look forward to a new park. El Dorado Hills Community Services District board members recently awarded a construction contract for the approximately 13-acre Valley View Village Park to KYA Group. Located at the corner of Keystone and Blackstone Parkway, the park will feature all-inclusive play areas for ages 2-5 and 5-12 with poured-in-place surfacing and shade structures, a pavilion with picnic tables and barbecues, trails with fitness nodes and interpretive signage, an open turf area, restrooms, preserved open space and a bridge to span

hile 2020 brought many challenges to, well, everyone, two young ladies in Shingle Springs and El Dorado Hills teamed up to take on a positive, new and exciting venture: Bubba and Slim — cute, affordable, wellmade clothing. “We wanted to do baby and children’s clothing because it was hard for us to find cute items for our kids that not everyone had,” said Andrea Trombley, one part of the two person team. “Lauren (Grace) and I have a

ou’re never too old to start a new adventure.” These words of wisdom are not just spoken, but lived by El Dorado Hills resident Laura Kopp, who added “entrepreneur” to her long list of titles, including wife, mother, grandmother, administrator. Kopp spent the past few decades raising her children and working at Oak Ridge High School. She is now grandmother to boys Hunter and Parker and her new, online boutique allows her to continue to be an integral part of their lives while doing something she loves.
