HOW TO SIZE YOUR RUG
Choosing the right rug for your space does more than tie the room together. It softens the blow of cold floors, adds textures where it counts and says "I have my life together" without actually saying it.
As a guide, your rug should sit comfortably beneath your key furniture setting. Allow at least 20cm of rug to extend beyond the edges of your sofa to frame the setting and create visual balance.
In smaller spaces, a more compact rug can be just as impactful. Positioning furniture around, rather that on top of the rug, allows the materiality and shape to stand out creating a calm, intentional, and considered space.
