Bargello is named after the Florentine needlepoint used in tapestries and upholstery since the 17th Century. GENERAL MANAGER | KIMPTON HOTEL ARRAS Kimpton Hotel Arras’ General Manager David McCartney is an Asheville native and dedicated hospitality leader with more than 30 years of demonstrated success. After graduating from college at the US Air Force Academy, McCartney spent five years with Globe Treks, planning, managing and guiding tour groups around the world. During that time, he was able to connect with Marriott Hotels and started his hotel career in 1986 as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager trainee at the Atlanta Marriott Downtown. Hotel management was a great fit for his teamwork management style, and he has since gone on to hold numerous general manager roles with Marriott, independent hotels and lifestyle hotels, eventually opening the first-ever franchised Kimpton, Hotel Arras, in Asheville, North Carolina, where he also serves as a passionate member of the local philanthropic community.

MARKET DIRECTOR OF SALES Jamie Tudico joined the Kimpton Hotel Arras team as Market Director of Sales in 2021, overseeing all sales strategies and events for the boutique hotel as well as its sister properties, Aloft Asheville Downtown and AC Hotel by Marriott Asheville Downtown, as well as AC Hotel’s rooftop bar and restaurant, Capella on 9. Tudico holds nearly 20 years of hospitality sales experience and a deep understanding of the Asheville market, having served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Milan Hotel Group, executing sales strategies for six hotels in Asheville across Marriott, Radisson, Choice and IHG brands. Tudico also served as Director of Sales and Catering for Asheville’s Grand Bohemian Hotel, preceded by a stint as National Sales Manager for the Omni Grove Park Inn. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from East Tennessee State University.

• As the Executive Chef for Bargello & District 42, Chef Slade is the mastermind behind the creation and execution of both restaurant’s menus and seasonal offerings, utilizing Asheville’s abundance of fresh produce to craft delicious dishes that keep guests coming back time and time again. Before joining Bargello & District 42 in 2021, Chef Slade spent six years as Sous Chef at Posana in Asheville, preceded by his time in Beaufort, South Carolina, where he opened 3 Sisters Pizzeria and 10 Market, a chef’s kitchen which received local recognition including Best Overall Restaurant, Best Fine Dining, and Best Chef. In addition to his recipes being featured in ‘Shrimp, Collards & Grits’ Magazine and line of coffee table books, Chef Slade was named the ‘Third Best Chef in the South’ by South Magazine in 2019. He graduated from the New England Culinary Institute in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Culinary Arts.
