A message from EOS Engagement Committee Chair

Season’s Greetings!

“Cheers

to a Holiday Season

that is Merry and Bright!”

As we enter this time of year, the EOS Engagement Committee recognizes that people may view this time of year differently. Some may celebrate religous holidays, festive decorating, bringing family together, cooking or baking. Others may not celebrate a holiday this time of year or may enjoy some quieter time, while others may travel or enjoy time with children on Winter Break. For some a joyous time of year, while for others this could be a difficult time of year for many reasons.

We embrace and celebrate these differences as they make us this beautiful, strong and unique group.

As 2022 comes to a close, I wish you and your loved ones a healthy and happy 2023. May each of you celebrate in your own, individual way.

Jackie is a Business Intelligence Analyst working in the Payer Solutions vertical under Loretta Brackman. Jackie shared a favorite Christmas tradition.... Friends who grew up down the street from me had a father who LOVED Elvis Presley. Their family tradition was to put the Elvis Ornament on the tree FIRST every year. Growing up, I thought this was hilarious and enjoyed in participating in tree decorating with them. Years later, for my wedding, they gifted my husband and me our own Elvis ornament! To this day, my husband and I put our Elvis ornament on the tree FIRST every year!

Every year my husband’s grandparents host a Christmas Eve gathering….and of course Santa makes an appearance. It’s very special that they are able to host (four generations). For me the most special time was my children’s first Christmases. Watching their faces as they see Santa is something I will always hold in my heart. Also, every year my mom, sister and I get together to make Christmas cookies. It is a fun tradition that we have now been able to pass on to our kids.

My sister and I went to Ireland in the winter of 2019 – it was cold and rainy, but we had the best time exploring the city and warming up with some Jameson!

Several anonymous memories were shared by PHS Team Members….

Going to see Christmas lights and seeing all my nieces and nephews open their gifts. This year we are so excited to experience Christmas through our toddler’s eyes. He already is in love with all the Christmas lights! We also do a day of baking with the family annually which is always an activity I look forward to!

Best holiday is spending my first Christmas party at Joy's house, every year, I feel like Christmas starts with Joy's Party.

My mother was the BEST at guessing her presents by just holding the box. We were determined to fool her one year! We found her gift and wrapped it carefully. A few days before Christmas, we had to know if we fooled her. We handed her the present and asked what it was. She replied, "A deep fryer" (weren't those the days???) - which of course, it was. Now we were on a mission - we found a set of glasses that came in the same shaped box! We carefully wrapped it in the same paper to look exactly like the original. We were so clever! When packages were passed out, it was the first to be delivered. I had pictured her surprised look for days and could hardly wait. She took the package and immediately said we'd switched the box. While we were disappointed that we weren't as clever as we thought, it reinforced Mom's position as BEST GUESSER forever!

A Message from EOS Communications Committee

Chair

Courtney Penn Blevins

Season greetings, all!!

The EOS Communications Committee has had an exciting year and have attempted to accomplished many important things, like the development of a new SharePoint site for our businesses and introducing to some (and reminding others) of a new way to connect – Viva Engage. But perhaps our most important accomplishment is the fact that all of these changes and improvements came about because we listened to YOU. YOU asked for a place for broad PHS information to live– so we are creating SharePoint pages for both PHS and each vertical. YOU asked for a way to recognize employees’ milestones without crowding Teams – so we revitalized Viva Engage. YOU asked for a place where you could get the information you needed for your work to be easily and readily available – so we revamped Teams

We hope you all enjoy this holiday no matter how or what you celebrate. And when we return – refreshed and rearing to go – keep an eye out for more announcements from the EOS Communications Committee!

A Message from EOS Rewards & Recognition Committee Chair

Megan

Baccam

Happy Holidays PHS Team!

It has been a fun and exciting year on the EOS Rewards & Recognition Committee! And, the holiday season is a perfect time for us to continue to express our gratitude and appreciation for all that you have contributed to the PHS team, and the McKesson organization as a whole. The committee has really enjoyed developing and enhancing programs to ensure we recognize, reward, and celebrate all of our employee’s achievements throughout the year. Recognition can come in many different forms, such as the Recognition Report for a specific achievement going above and beyond your daily duties, the Shine Bright Spotlight to highlight individual job duties, skills, and achieving excellence every day to keep the lights on, or a simple message on MPower to quickly congratulate a peer for a job well done or thank a teammate for guidance. The Rewards & Recognition Committee would like to thank everyone within PHS for your participation and support of all employees recognized throughout the year!

As we head into the holiday season, I hope everyone enjoys some time off with family and friends, getting to do all the things that bring you happiness during this time of year! I will enjoy time off with my family as we attempt our first snowboarding trip in Colorado, baking cookies, watching holiday classic movies, and seeing Christmas lights. I wish you a very happy holiday season full of celebration!
