McKee Library is available for instruction throughout the summer and can help you prepare for future courses Your librarians are happy to provide information literacy instruction for on campus, hybrid, and online courses. Information Literacy Information literacy instruction is available throughout the summer. Sessions can be scheduled in person or via Zoom. Please contact Melissa Hortemiller at mhortemiller@ southern.edu to schedule your instruction session. It is not too early to schedule for Fall 2021!
Designing Research Assignments Effective research assignments help your students develop appropriate information literacy skills, think critically, and responsibly use web resources. Your librarians are able to partner with you as you plan for research assignments for your courses. Embedded Librarian The embedded librarian service is available throughout the summer.
This service works well for distance education courses and courses with research assignments that require the use of outside sources. Additional information about the service can be found on our website. Please contact Donald Martin (allied health, physical therapy, and nursing courses) or Jessica Spears (all other courses) to request the embedded librarian service for your summer course. Online Modules McKee Library’s
information literacy modules are available through the “Services for Faculty” tab on our website. These modules are available both as stand-alone instructional components and also as complete learning units. Select modules include automatically graded quizzes that integrate with your eClass grade book. For questions regarding the modules or to have content added to your course(s), please contact Jessica Spears.
