CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH McKee Library is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month September 15 through October 15, 2018.

Book Display A display featuring titles written by and about Hispanic Americans is available on the library’s main floor. The titles include religious works, poetry, nonfiction, fiction, and children’s books. Digital Reading List A digital reading list is available on the library’s website for additional recommendations. Titles include worldrenowned, as well as award-winning authors from a wide-range of Spanish speaking countries. We also have featured Latin American writers. The complete list is available using the short code bit.ly/mckeehhm or by selecting “Research Guides” under “Research Tools & Collections” on the library’s homepage. Social Media Each day, the library features one recommended title on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We encourage you to follow the library on social media for recommended reads, films, and special events.

From Vault The Writings of George Washington volumes 1 through 14 are part of McKee Library’s collection.

About the Works The Writings of George Washington were compiled by notable historian Worthington Chauncey Ford and were published in 1889 by G. P. Putnam’s Sons in New York. These volumes contain the complete writings of George Washington from 1748 through 1799 in 14 volumes. The library’s copy is number 624 out of 750, as seen in the image to the right.
