SUMMER LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION & BOOK REQUESTS Construction will begin at McKee Library on May 6; however, many resources will remain available to the campus community. McKee Library will undergo several updates this summer. Plant Services will give the library an electrical upgrade as well as new ceiling tiles and LED light fixtures on the second floor. Library Closure McKee Library will be closed the week of May 6 through 10 for asbestos abatement. During this week, the librarians will be available via chat, email, and phone. Virtual research coaching appointments will be available for students. Virtual tutoring appointments will be available with the Writing Center. The Tutoring Center will be closed during this week. Continued Construction Following the abatement, the second floor will remain closed to library visitors

as the ceiling panels and electrical components are upgraded. The main floor of the library, including the Writing Center and the Tutoring Center, will be open during this time.

Book Hold Requests Books and media items will be available upon request. Hold requests can now be made through the library’s catalog following these steps:

2. Locate the work you are interested in and select the title. 3. Under “Get It”, select “Request” on the “Request Options” toolbar (see image below).
