Quiet Floor Guidelines
Read Your Favorite Magazines Digitally
McKee Library offers online access to thousands of magazines through Libby, an online reader created by Overdrive. Sign in using your SAU username and password at libbyapp.com to begin checking out your favorite magazines. Some popular choices include The New Yorker, National Geographic, Reader’s Digest, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, and Food Network Magazine.
The library also offers access to a few magazines through Flipster, an online reader created by EBSCO. Starting in March, Flipster will have access to The Atlantic, Forbes, and Fortune. You can access Flipster titles by searching for the magazine title on the McKee Library’s homepage.
Contact Mica Myers to learn more or to recommend a specific title.
To ensure a quality study environment for all McKee Library patrons, we are enforcing several guidelines regarding the usage of the quiet floor.
Key points include:
This floor is for quiet, independent study. Collaborative work should take place on the main floor.
No shared meals or food deliveries. Individual meals in covered containers are allowed.
Furniture cannot be moved, and tables are limited to four people. The library is a place of study. Social gatherings should take place elsewhere on campus.
Please contact Deyse Bravo with any questions regarding these guidelines.
