FAKE NEWS DISPLAY AT MCKEE LIBRARY

McKee Library is featuring a special display of resources for dealing with fake news.
With the rise of fake news across the internet, McKee Library has put together resources for students and faculty to help identify and avoid fake news. Not sure how to identify fake news? The following tips and resources might help: • Use fact-checking resources like FactCheck, Snopes, and Politifact. • Pay attention to the web address of all news articles. • Watch for capitalization and grammar errors. • Research the author of the work and the organization. • Conduct a reverse image search on Google. • Open a new tab for each piece of information • Be aware of bias. The Fake News display will be available on the library’s main floor April 1 through 30, 2018.

items celebrating Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders throughout the month of April. All are encouraged to check out a book or DVD from McKee Library’s display, located on the library’s main floor. This display includes a vareity of works by prominent Asian American and Pacific Islander authors and poets, as well as films, documentaries, and children’s books. Additional recommendations are available on the Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month reading list.
