Founded by Margaret Scholley, Alida & Miller design mixes modern with vintage to produce an eclectic showcase of interiors. Originally from Sydney’s northern beaches, the Scholley family relocated to Byron Bay over 10 years ago. It was here that Margaret set up Alida & Miller – an interior styling business whose eclectic stamp is in high demand amongst the Byron and Bangalow clientele. With over 20 years of experience in interior styling, Margaret Scholley says whilst Alida & Miller have a particular aesthetic, she is always conscious of allowing the client’s personality to shine. Equally at home styling an event or providing high end interior design, there is plenty of talent to tap into.

The team at Alida & Miller have an eco-friendly approach – often recycling or finding new uses for interesting and quirky pieces. ‘At least 70% of the furniture we use has been sourced from second hand shops, salvage yards or retro and antique stores. We give the pieces a new lease on life by reupholstering or painting them with non-toxic paints that have zero VOCs. It is also really important for us to buy locally, so our carbon footprint stays small.’ A more recent project has been a collaboration between Scholley and her daughter Kit.
