This is a special opportunity for you to see some of the world’s finest golfers in terrific competition. We get to showcase all our community has to offer - its rich culture and storied past - and to charm you with our extraordinary hospitality. The best part is we get to do this while raising money for Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia and other local family and children’s charities.

On behalf of the PGA TOUR, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural McGladrey Classic, the second event in the 2010 PGA TOUR Fall Series. We are looking forward to visiting one of the truly magnificent settings in the United States –the Sea Island Golf Club located in on the Golden Isles of Southeast Georgia.

We would like to thank our friends at McGladrey – one of the nation’s leading assurance, tax and consulting firms – for their partnership and support of the PGA TOUR. Their commitment to this new event and, in turn, to helping those in need is very much a part of the structure and fabric of the PGA TOUR. We’re also pleased to be working with Tournament Chairman and Sea Island resident Davis Love III, as well as the Davis Love Foundation, with tournament proceeds benefiting Special Olympics and the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia along with other local charities.

The spirit of giving back allows our tournaments to draw on a strong volunteer base every year, fortifying the community’s support and ownership of the event. I would like to express my appreciation to all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication this week and throughout the coming years.

The PGA TOUR is committing even more time and energy to elevate and expand our giving-back efforts through the “Together, anything’s possible” charity platform, designed to engage our players, tournaments and sponsors, charities, fans and volunteers to build upon and elevate the TOUR’s tradition of charitable giving. Despite a difficult economic environment, the PGA TOUR and its tournaments generated more than $109 million for charity in 2009, and we are still on track to reach our second billion in charitable donations within the next three to five years.

SPECTATOR TIPS

CHECK THE WEATHER Check the weather forecast before you visit The McGladrey Classic and dress appropriately. Expect mild mornings and warm, sunny afternoons, so dressing in layers is the best idea.

HAVE A PLAN There are basically two ways to watch a golf tournament.

Parade style – where you pick a spot and watch the field pass by – or cross-country style, where you follow a particular player or group around the course.

DAILY PAIRING SHEET & MAP Pick up a free daily pairing sheet to find out when the players tee off and the order of the groups. Pairing sheets include a course map and are available near the entrances and at various locations on the tournament grounds. Check the scoreboards to find out who the leaders are, and where they are on the course. One way to tell the players from a distance is to look for their caddies, who wear vests that have color-coded pockets and trim (green, blue, or gray), which will be indicated on the daily pairing sheet.

AUTOGRAPHS Players are more receptive to requests for autographs after they have completed their round, so don’t interrupt them before or during their round. A good place to catch them is at the practice area, as most players will return there after they finish their round.
