Ezell: Library to get new books

By Magnet Express Staff

Mrs. Ezell is getting new books for the library.

On Dec. 10th the library had a book fair, Ms. Ezell, the librarian, will be ordering 150-200 fiction and nonfiction books with $3,000 dollars that were earned from the book fair.

Journalists Hastin and Mariah interviewed Mrs. Ezell about the books.

“The reason we had a book fair is to raise money for more books,” said Ezell.

“The reason why we want to order more books is for new reading material for the students” said Ezell.

We also interviewed David Barrett.

David Barrett said “I think it’s a great thing to expand your reading and branch out to try new things.” ”Josh Mozzell says he’s very excited about new books.

Coach Haney enjoys time with P.E. students

She says that they are learning about different people and their symbols

She really feels like this is an exciting thing to learn about because she is curious to know what other people are like.

Dream room is fun for ID students

We interviewed Merrill Fitts from interior design.

She said that the first week that her teacher told them to design a dream room of their very own.

Merrill said that she thought that this was very interesting thing to do because she likes making different things – especially a dream room!

French UA partnership is tres amusant!

He said he decided to take French because he was interested in learning a new language.

In French class, he said, they’re learning about how to say people’s feelings and animals.

He said that maybe one day in the future he can translate for other people.

He likes french so much he took it last year.

Quidditch on the Quad fun for muggles

By Elizabeth Barrett, Isabel Retsinas and Alex Washington Hi there muggles(that means non wizard)! We interviewed Tai Msoses.

She went to the Quidditch on the Quad. (That is a Harry Poter-theamed sport.) Her favorite thing about it was drinking butter beer. Tai has only read the first three books of Harry Potter. Her favorite character in Harry Potter is Ron. She also liked Snape. She cried when he died in the movie. Her least favorite was a dog that was licking her during the Quidditch game.

Her least favorite character is Voldemort because he tried to kill Harry Potter and killed Harry’s parents. Off to Hogwarts!

Poe’s class wins SGA canned food drive

By Joshua Williams The Tuscaloosa Magnet School SGA came up an idea to have a canned food drive for the people that don’t have food in other

countries, like Africa.

The students that I interviewed were Cole, Amelia, and Allison.

The students said they feel good about helping because they feel hopeful that people will survive

with the food students gave. Mrs. Poe’s class won because they collected 109 cans.

The class runner up was Mrs. Gerkin’s class, which collected 99 cans.
