Base Housing

LAUREL BAY / MCRD PARRIS ISLAND

The Military Housing Office (MHO) is here to assist you and your family find the right home for your needs. On-base housing is privatized, known as PPV (Public Private Partnership with Atlantic Marine Corps Communities at Tri-Command (AMCC) provides housing for active-duty service members and their families, activeduty bachelors (roommates and geographic bachelors), DoD civilians and military retirees assigned to Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island and Beaufort Naval Hospital. Base housing has a variety of amenities and services for your convenience, including:

• Walking trails

• Numerous community parks and playgrounds

• Parks

• Tennis courts, and a basketball court

• Community Centers (Swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, and dot.com café for

• Department of Defense schools (Laurel Bay Housing area)

• MCCS manages a Youth Center, Family Services Center, gas station, and convenience store.

Lending Locker

The lending locker is designed to provide the basic essentials for a service member to set up a temporary household. The use of the lending locker is first come, first serve basis. When checking items out, you will need to bring the following:

• Military ID

• Military orders

• Dish Packs

• Microwaves

• Cots and more…

Distribution Management Office (DMO) formerly TMO

• Provide cost-effective transportation support to the tenant units aboard MCAS Beaufort

• Arrange and manage the transportation of personal property and personnel (service and family members)

• To process and oversee the temporary and non-temporary storage of household goods

• To aid with the processing and filing of personal property claims for damages incurred during shipping or storage
