FICQ celebrates India-Australia Day with cultural performances & major announcements

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) hosted a grand IndiaAustralia Day celebration on January 26, 2025, marking the enduring friendship between the two nations.





The event featured inspiring messages from the Governor of Queensland and other distinguished guests, highlighting the shared values and growing ties between India and Australia. Attendees were treated to vibrant cultural performances that showcased the rich heritage of the Indian community in Queensland. In addition to the celebrations, FICQ made two exciting announcements: the launch of its own Toastmasters Club to foster leadership and public speaking skills within the community, and the upcoming Unity Cup multicultural soccer tournament, aimed at promoting inclusivity and sportsmanship. The event reinforced FICQ’s commitment to strengthening cultural connections and fostering unity among diverse communities in Queensland.
