CLUB UPDATES

Dear Members,

As summer winds down, I want to thank you for making this season such a memorable one at the Club From afternoons at the pool to evenings on the patio, it has been wonderful to see our members, families, and guests enjoying all that we have to offer

While the season may be changing, the excitement at the Club is far from over They say great things come to those who wait and I’m pleased to share that many of our longanticipated improvements are now becoming reality:

Pool Seating – 75 brand-new chaise lounge chairs have arrived and are being placed around the pool deck. This addition provides more comfortable seating and greater space to relax. While we only have a few more weeks to enjoy them this season, these enhancements will make next summer even better.

Pickleball Courts – The courts have now been poured, and we are patiently waiting for the concrete to cure fully. This process takes about 30 days, so we anticipate officially opening the new courts in mid-to-late September. We look forward to celebrating this exciting addition with a Grand Opening Event.

New Turn House – The lower bar has been updated to serve as our new turn house, providing golfers and members with a convenient place to grab a beverage or quick bite during a round or anytime you’re visiting the Club. The menu will feature hot dogs, burgers, cold sandwiches, snacks, and a wide selection of beverages. We plan to open this new option in September, and hours will be announced soon. Once this option becomes available, we will no longer deliver food orders to the course.

Pathway Improvements – To improve access and convenience, we’ve adjusted the path between the wedding lawn and pool to better accommodate golf carts. We've removed the stairs and added a small parking area near the clubhouse.

Upcoming Fall Events

In addition to these exciting improvements, we have a full calendar of fall events designed to bring our community together: Music on the Patio evenings enjoy live entertainment in a relaxed setting Member/Guest Golf Event one of the highlights of our golf calendar, filled with competition and camaraderie Culinary Dinners special dining experiences featuring seasonal menus crafted by our culinary team

Please Welcome Our Newest Members

It has been 24 hours since I played this course and I can honestly say I have not stopped thinking about every hole, each shot, the countless deer, the cat in the parking lot and of course the experience Once I left the course the entire 45 min ride home I was going over each shot both good and bad just smiling.

Ifyoucouldswitchbacktheclockwithoutleavingtheclubhouse,wouldyou?Scienceshowsthatfor thoseover40,oneofthemostpowerful“anti-aging”toolsisn’tamagicpillorpriceytreatment it’s thehumbleactofliftingweights

Whether it’s a set of dumbbells, a resistance machine, or even your own bodyweight, resistance training can keep you swinging a golf club (or racquet) with ease, carrying your own bag, and enjoyinganactivelifestylefordecadestocome.

As individuals pass 40, the natural decline in muscle mass (sarcopenia), bone density, and metabolismaccelerates, puttingthemathigherriskforfrailty, osteoporosis, andchronicdiseases

Regular resistance training effectively counters these age-related changes by stimulating muscle proteinsynthesisandbuildingstrengtheveninolderadults.

This strength not only enhances mobility and everyday functionality like lifting, carrying, or maintaining balance but also reduces the risk of falls and fractures by fortifying bones through osteogenesis. Remarkably, a 2022 study reported that women performing heavy squats and deadlifts twice weekly experienced a 7% increase in bone mineral density over two years Moreover, resistance training boosts metabolism, aids in weight control, and improves cardiovascular and metabolic health by enhancing insulin sensitivity and reducing chronic disease risk factors

Strength training also delivers vital hormonal and mental health benefits that uniquely support those over 40 Acute bouts of resistance exercise can trigger dramatic surges in growth hormone up to 18-fold in older men, promoting muscle repair and recovery Long-term strength training has been shown to moderately increase basal levels of anabolic hormones such as testosterone, IGF-1, and human growth hormone, along with improvements in DHEA-S and sex hormone-binding globulin, while helping regulate the stress hormone cortisol This multi-hormonal optimization supports metabolism, lean muscle preservation, fat burning, and hormonal equilibrium in both sexes For women, resistance training helps stabilize estrogen and progesterone balance and offers subtle increases in testosterone, positively affecting bone health, energy, and mood during perimenopause and beyond Additionally, the mental benefits are profound lifting weights sparks endorphin release, improves sleep, elevates mood, enhances self-esteem, and serves as a powerful tool for stress management Over time, this helps regulate cortisol responses and build resilience to daily stressors

So, the next time you walk past the fitness center, remember those weights aren’t just for the young They’re your ticket to stronger swings, steadier steps, sharper focus, and a longer, more vibrant life Pick them up, and you just might find yourself putting more life in your years, not just years in your life.

GREENS WORK

SNELL AND HIS TEAM STUN IN HEAT WAVE

DEDICATIONINTHEHEAT

The story of Treyburn’s success this summer starts with dedication, teamwork, and a love for the game Under the leadership of Superintendent Mark Snell, the greens team worked tirelessly through relentless heat to ensure every round of golf was played on pristine, tournament-quality turf.

Their efforts reflect not only skill and precision but also the culture of pride and care that makes Treyburn stand out.

ASTANDARDOFEXCELLENCE

After weeks of enduring record-breaking temperatures, the greens have never looked better. Members and guests alike have praised the course’s condition, noting the incredible consistency and playability that Snell and his crew achieved against the odds.

Their hard work has become a tradition of excellence that our community deeply values and celebrates

AWELL-DESERVEDTHANKYOU

Beyond the day-to-day demands of course management, the greens team went above and beyond during the Solheim Cup celebrations In recognition of their efforts, the Treyburn Ladies Golf Association hosted a special luncheon in Mark’s honor a heartfelt thank-you for his leadership and the countless unseen hours he and his staff dedicate to keeping the course in top form. It was a small gesture for a team that gives so much.

HONORING THE PEOPLE WHOSE PASSION AND HARD WORK KEEP TREYBURN AT ITS VERY BEST.
