MCCONNELL GOLF ACQUIRES COBBLESTONE PARK GOLF CLUB IN BLYTHEWOOD, S.C.

McConnell Golf is proud to announce the acquisition of Cobblestone Park Golf Club, now Cobblestone Golf Club, in Blythewood, South Carolina This exciting addition strengthens McConnell Golf’s legacy of premier private clubs, bringing its portfolio to 17 top-tier properties across the Southeast Home to a 27-hole championship course designed by P B Dye, Cobblestone Golf Club offers a dynamic and challenging experience across its Garnet, Black, and Gold courses. To mark this new chapter, Cobblestone Golf Club unveiled a brand-new logo and identity, blending tradition with a modern vision.

McConnell Golf properties will once again host Korn Ferry Tour events in consecutive weeks when the Visit Knoxville Open and UNC Health Championship showcase the game’s rising stars Visit Knoxville Open will run from May 22 - 25 at Holston Hills Country Club while the UNC Health Championship will take place at Raleigh Country Club from May 29 - June 1

TOURNAMENT DOUBLEHEADER: VISIT KNOXVILLE OPEN & UNC HEALTH CHAMPIONSHIP

We are in full stride with this year's golf season at Raleigh Country Club. After one of the coldest winters in recent memory, spring has finally arrived, and the golf course is in excellent condition, marking the beginning of one of my favorite times of the year for golf Our club hosts two of our favorite golf events in May and June The Donald Ross Classic Men’s Member-Member will be held the first weekend in May, and then we will host the Korn Ferry Tour UNC Health Championship from May 26th through June 1st

This will be the third time that we have hosted the UNC Health Championship at Raleigh Country Club. The course proved challenging for the Korn Ferry players, as the winning score was eight under par, making it the most demanding test on the tour last year We expect another great event this year and look forward to seeing some of the world’s best golfers take on the challenge of our course Thank you for your continued support of the tournament. We look forward to seeing many of you during the week, volunteering, hosting players, and watching some great golf!

The golf shop is fully stocked with an excellent selection of new apparel from premier golf clothing vendors such as Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne, Johnnie-O, and Stitch. We also have much of the fitting equipment from the major club golf club manufacturers. The first semester of the 2025 Operation 36 junior programs is almost finished This has been a great group of participants, and it has been exciting to see the next generation of golfers take up the wonderful game of golf The participants have shown amazing growth, and we look forward to many of them continuing to advance to the next yardage This summer, we will continue to incorporate the program into our camps. In the fall, we will begin another 8-week session of the Operation 36 programs.

2025 Summer Golf Camp

We have developed the RCC Summer Junior Golf Camp for juniors interested in learning the game. This camp will teach juniors the fundamentals of the game. We will cover putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, and rules and demonstrate the importance of etiquette during on-course play days.

1st Session: June 17th – 19th

2nd Session: July 22nd – 24th

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm (Tuesday-Thursday)

Fee: $195 *Optional Afternoon activities & lunch from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for an additional cost of $100

SWIM TEAM

BECOME A STINGRAY

Any child between the ages of 5 and 18 is encouraged to participate. Stingray practices will be held Monday through Thursday. Cost will be $195 for first swimming participant and $165 per additional swimmer

For swimmers ages 4 to 6 years old, join the team as a Mini Ray Practice will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15 - 5:45pm to help build familiarity with strokes and confidence in the pool Cost to become a Mini Ray will be $120 per swimmer for the season
