Dear HHCC Members,
As the Fall season arrives, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for making Holston Hills such a special place to play the game we all love Our club continues to grow, and with that growth comes an exciting energy but also a shared responsibility to ensure that our traditions and standards remain strong.
One of the most important ways we can respect both the course and one another is through the pace of play. Playing ready golf, being mindful of your group’s position, and keeping up with the group ahead ensures that everyone enjoys their round. A smooth pace makes the game more enjoyable for all, regardless of skill level
Another vital piece of our culture is a sense of ownership Each of us plays a role in caring for Holston Hills. This can be as simple as repairing ball marks, filling divots, raking bunkers, and cleaning up the chipping green after you use it. Small acts of stewardship go a long way toward keeping our course in the best condition possible
As we continue to welcome new members and watch the club flourish, I encourage patience and understanding Growth brings change, but it also brings opportunity to build new friendships, strengthen our community, and ensure the future of Holston Hills remains bright
Thank you for all you do to support our club and one another. I look forward to seeing you on the course this fall

Dear Holston Hills CC Members,
On behalf of the Tennessee Golf Foundation, let me thank all of you for your continued support of the Korn Ferry Tour's oldest event, the Visit Knoxville Open We are so excited to start this new chapter of such a historic event at one of the most revered clubs on the entire Korn Ferry Tour, Holston Hills CC. The legacy of this club is unmatched on our tour, and we are grateful to you, the Membership, for continuing to support the future stars of the PGA TOUR
For over 35 years, the Tennessee Golf Foundation has been preserving, protecting, and growing the game of golf from Bristol to Memphis More than 40,000 kids will go through our programming all across the state, including the First Tee of Tennessee, Kids Play Free, and the Sneds Tour Thousands of families will be positively impacted by learning and participating in this great game, and we are honored to serve as the caretaker for the future of golf in this state.
The future of the Visit Knoxville Open is as bright as Tennessee Orange Our team is anxious to get to work, and being supported by PGA TOUR veterans Scott Stallings and Peter Malnati, old and new friends at the University of Tennessee, the greater Knoxville and East Tennessee community, and most importantly, the membership at Holston Hills It is our goal to make the Visit Knoxville Open the envy of the Korn Ferry Tour in membership support
We want you and need you to be actively engaged in the planning, development, and operations of the event. We want your input on how to showcase your club in the best possible way We want your help making sure that every person, member or not, who steps foot on the club property that week, leaves knowing Holston Hills is the crown jewel of facilities. Over the coming months, you'll be seeing a lot of me and my team We'd like to spend time with you, get to know you, and get to know the club. We want to learn from the past and build the best possible event for the membership. So if you see us, be prepared to get a lot of questions, and certainly don't hesitate to stop us and share your insights
We look forward to seeing you this fall and to beginning building the 2026 Visit Knoxville Open!
Play well,

Holston Hills CC Members,
There are many things to consider when it comes to your health. As we age, recovery, regeneration, muscular development, bone health, balance, and cognitive abilities just to name a few become less efficient. Many factors can contribute to this decline Although I am a little biased when it comes to the benefits of exercise for health, I must also advise that maintaining health is more than just getting in the gym
I love the fitness world’s take on the acronym N.E.W. S.T.A.R.T., which outlines eight pillars of health to consider when trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
N.Nutrition
What we put in our bodies, such as food, can have a dramatic effect on our wellbeing
E.Exercise
Exercise can have a positive effect on your mental and physical health; it improves things such as bone density and muscle mass.
W.Water
This refers to the water you consume, but it also includes external water therapies (cold plunges, saunas) things that affect the immune system, help rid the body of toxins and may aid fat loss
S.Sunlight
A moderate amount of natural sunlight is essential for optimal health Exposure to natural sunlight has many benefits, such as elevating your mood, lowering blood pressure, and aiding vitamin D synthesis
T.Temperance
Self-control and avoiding things that can harm the body. Limit or eliminate unhealthy choices such as excessive alcohol, smoking, processed foods, and sugary or carbonated drinks
A.Air
A basic need for our heart, blood vessels, and lungs. Getting the best air crucial to help fight against diseases and support the immune system
R.Rest
Sleep is important for the body to rid itself of toxins and recover Yo consider a weekly rest (disconnect from social media or meditate)
T.Trust
Trust the process and understand that a lifestyle change doesn’t happen nor does progress follow a linear path 100 percent of the time It may tak error to figure out what works best for you
It’s never too late to make a lifestyle change As always, consult with your healthcare provider to ensure the best path forward especially if you have any pre-existing conditions

“Wipe that silly grin off your face ” Well, I can’t do that until the pool officially closes for the season on September 28th. The 2025 pool season at Holston Hills CC has been an absolute blast for the lifeguards and me. It truly feels like we’ve had more kids enjoying the pool this year than ever before
The kids have kept us laughing all summer long whether learning to dive off the boards, searching for treasures underwater, or battling it out in pool basketball And let’s be honest, it’s impossible not to smile during the 2:00 PM Popsicle Parade, when every kid comes running to the guy in the goofy hats for their free popsicle.
As school kicks back in, we’ve transitioned to our Back-to-School hours (see schedule). Don’t forget, we’re still hosting Adults-Only Swim every Saturday from 8:00–11:00 AM, and we’ll continue to
