2nd Floor Points of Interest BBA CAREER MANAGEMENT CBA 2.502 Each year, approximately 500 top employers actively recruit McCombs BBA students – posting jobs, hosting events, and conducting interviews – connecting students to opportunities across industries.

STOCK MARKET POST NO. 5. East Entrance

This stock ticker was one of 17 original trading stations installed at the New York Stock Exchange in 1929. In 1980, the Exchange replaced all the manual trading posts with sophisticated electronic ones, and UT acquired Post No. 5 thanks to a $37,000 fund-raising drive by alumni. Today, the ticker serves as a reminder of McCombs strong ties to Wall Street.

BBA PROGRAM OFFICE CBA 2.400

The BBA Program Office is the hub of all academic information and resources for BBA students. Students can visit the BBA Program Office to meet with academic advisors to plan their coursework for the semester, speak to Study Abroad Advisors, or find ways to get involved in student organizations by meeting with the Office of Student Life.

CANFIELD BUSINESS HONORS PROGRAM OFFICE CBA 2.500

The Canfield Business Honors Program Office is home to current and prospective students alike to learn more about Canfield BHP. Here you will find academic and peer advisors who are eager to assist students with any academic questions. The open and collaborative space is often used as a study spot and meeting area by current Canfield BHP students.

HISTORY OF MCCOMBS Next to the Dean’s Office is the History Exhibit. The school developed the exhibit with the help of the Director of Exhibits for the Bob Bullock Museum. It depicts the evolution of the school and its impact in the state of Texas over its 80-year history.

3rd Floor Points of Interest THE ATRIUM. CBA 3RD FLOOR

A popular hang-out and study area for students, the Atrium is the social center of the McCombs School. The nearby O’s Café is also a common spot for students to buy meals to enjoy in the Atrium during a study session or meet up with classmates and friends.

FRITO LAY STUDENT LEADERSHIP CENTER CBA 3.328 Located next to O’s Café, The Frito-Lay Leadership Center is a dedicated space for McCombs Student Organizations to meet and collaborate. The Frito, as it is lovingly known, serves as a home away from home for many students. The space is equipped with two conference rooms to hold meetings, and lockers that are utilized to store supplies for student org events.

WELLNESS CENTER CBA 3.204

The Wellness Center is located in the CBA north building and is an ideal location that is both easily accessible and private enough for the services offered. Two of the private offices are dedicated to the CARE Counselors, and a third private office is used by our Resources in Residence guests with rotating services. The center also includes a Mind/Body Lab and an individual yoga space for students.

4th Floor Points of Interest FORD CAREER CENTER GSB 4.114

Nearly 500 firms come to the Ford Career Center every year to interview McCombs students. It includes 43 private interviewing suites— some equipped with virtual interviewing capabilities— a recruiter lounge, and a beautiful, single-point-of-service foyer. Many companies conduct first-round interviews in the Ford Career Center for McCombs students applying for internships or full-time employment opportunities.

NRG PRODUCTIVITY CENTER. GSB 4.112A

The NRG Productivity Center is a popular study area for students that was created with a gift from Reliant Energy. This lounge is a mixed study space for individual or group study.

5th Floor Points of Interest ACTIVE LEARNING CLASSROOMS 5TH FLOOR

These “team-based, adaptable and state-of-the-art learning environments” represent an important innovation in classroom design and an important new resource for the McCombs community. The design of the space lets instructors easily switch between presenting to the entire class, to consulting with individual student groups on their work, providing a well-balanced learning experience.
