LETTER FROM PRESIDENT +

Welcome to McColl Center’s Fifth Annual Benefit Art Auction—a celebration of the power of art. It is my great honor to step into the role of President + CEO, having begun my journey here as an Artist-in-Residence. I’ve experienced firsthand the profound impact this organization has on artists and the communities it inspires.

This year’s auction is particularly special as we celebrate 25 years of McColl Center. For a quarter-century, McColl Center has championed artists as changemakers—individuals who challenge perspectives, ignite dialogue, and inspire action.

Through its programs, McColl Center has welcomed national and international artists to Charlotte, creating opportunities for global collaboration while enriching the careers of Charlotte-based talent. These connections, forged over decades, are the foundation of McColl Center’s enduring legacy and bold vision for the future.

Benefit Art Auction is more than a fundraiser—it’s a call to action. By participating, you help uplift artists and fuel their growth. Your support ensures that McColl Center can continue to provide residencies, resources, and opportunities for artists at every stage of their journey. Many of the works featured in this catalog represent a shared commitment—with proceeds from their sale directly supporting both the participating artists and McColl Center’s mission. Together, we empower creativity to drive positive change.

As you explore the pages ahead, I invite you to familiarize yourself with the extraordinary artistry at the heart of this auction. Each bid you place supports the careers of artists and ensures that McColl Center remains a catalyst for growth and innovation.

Thank you for joining us in this celebration and for your unwavering belief in the power of art. Together, we can continue to ignite creativity, foster connection, and make an enduring impact as we honor the past 25 years of McColl Center and build a future where art continues to transform lives.
