MVP Challenge January 2026

Safety Newsletter December Update

Partners, Happy new year and welcome to 2026! Where the lessons of 2025 will launch us into a stronger program. As we start the year, we are eager to set new goals and look ahead. Consider this a great opportunity to tie one (or even two!!) performance and/or developmental goal to strengthening a safety focus. The personal focus and dedication from each of you is the key to the successes ahead of us.

Ruth Milian Safety Director RE

While we reminisce and review our performance, it leads us to the focuses in our restart. It can be said that we have housekeeping locked in on our projects, as indicated by the MVPs and Observations logged - over six thousand Housekeeping MVPs and around one thousand Safety Issue observations - a crucial part of our ‘Keep It Clean Keep It Safe’ emphasis. In the same way, the focus on THA reviews continues to grow and stay top of mind, 20,343 THA MVPs for the year! These reviews are essential to strengthening our craft professionals’ understanding of hazards and mitigations. Conversely, there is a little shyness in MVP participation and comfort in the topics we know. Growth means getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. The call to action is for all team members to participate and to focus on the following checklists: Renewables, HEC/LOTO, and Loading/Unloading Trucks.

Stay safe,

Ruth Milian
