Last month was packed with exciting events and milestones, setting the tone for an excellent close to the year. It’s inspiring to see how every department and individual pushes above and beyond, bringing dedication and purpose to each goal. We’re reminded of Mike Adenuga’s words: “The harder you work, the luckier you get.” This quote speaks to the relationship between effort and opportunity, and it’s clear that our collective hard work is paving the way for success.
Yet, as we aim high, it’s equally important to prioritize our well-being. Balancing ambition with rest and support is key to sustaining our momentum. So let’s not only strive for results but also encourage one another to take breaks, recharge, and enjoy the journey.
As we round up the year, let’s keep our momentum strong by bringing our best while caring for ourselves and each other. Here’s to a season of continued growth and achievements—together.

HR Game Night with Mixta An Engaging Success!
Mixta hosted an exclusive Game Night for HR professionals, combining networking with a fun and interactive way to showcase DUO on September 27, 2024. The event was a hit, featuring various table games and opportunities for engagement that drew the interest of numerous attendees. By the end of the night, we sparked interest from seven potential client organizations, marking the event as a great success in both exposure and connection. With such positive results, we’re excited for more events like this in the future!

Mixta Board of Directors’ Meeting
Mixta Africa had its Board Meeting at the serene Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate on 31st October 2024. This gathering marked the first official meeting for the newly appointed board members: Enitan Rewane, Larry Etah, Tunde Laoye, and Wale Odutola. Each bringing a wealth of experience and insight for an exciting new chapter.
The day was memorable with activities like group photos, dining experience, an immersive tour around the estate and some fun and friendly competition during some bouts of Golf X. A surprise birthday celebration was held during lunch for Mr. Pekun Ozolua (our very own Uncle P), which added a celebratory touch to the occasion.
In all, the board meeting not only set a strategic path for the business but also strengthened the bonds within the leadership team.

Orientation Week & Site Visit
In October, we wrapped up our week-long orientation program, which culminated in an exciting on-site tour on October 18th. We had the opportunity to visit various projects within the company, gaining first hand insights into our operations. It was a great opportunity to mingle with our colleagues from LLGC and LLHC, take lots of memorable pictures, and enjoy a day filled with learning and bonding. The experience strengthened our connection as a team and gave us a clearer understanding of the amazing work happening across the organization.
From the costumes to the camaraderie, this year’s Customer Service Week was a memorable celebration of the theme “Above and Beyond.” Throughout the week, we dressed in creative themes ranging from sporty jerseys to old-school fashion, culminating in a vibrant display of African attire for the final day. The week wrapped up with an evening of fun and festivities, where everyone let loose and enjoyed the celebration. The highlight of the week, of course, was recognizing those who consistently go “above and beyond” in their roles.

In an inspiring display of unity and talent, the recently concluded Cowrywise Super Cup tournament achieved remarkable success, as twelve prominent companies joined forces to support Cowrywise’s “Football for Good” initiative. The competition raised a stunning NGN1 billion to fund education for underprivileged children across Nigeria. This gathering of corporate players, community members, and football enthusiasts turned the spotlight on the powerful role sports can play in creating a lasting social impact.
Twelve corporate teams competed fiercely, each bringing skill and competitive spirit to the field, with teams like AltSchool Africa, Food Concepts PLC, Branch International, Dentsu Creative, Lenco (YC W22), Mixta Africa, Princeps Credit Systems Limited, 500Chow, ALX Africa, and Sycamore.NG battling it out in intense matches for the prestigious Cowrywise Super Cup trophy. Fans filled the stands, their cheers fuelling the players’ competitive drive and adding to the tournament’s electric atmosphere.
Playing as a team for the first time, Mixta F.C. quickly rose through the qualifiers to clinch the trophy. Their victory was nothing short of spectacular.
Mixta F.C.’s success extended beyond the team trophy; individual players were celebrated for their standout performances. Lekan Rasaq was the Most Valuable Player and Oguinye Oliver was the Top Scorer.
The Cowrywise Super Cup has undoubtedly set a precedent, merging corporate goodwill with community-driven action, and Mixta F.C.’s triumph will definitely be remembered as a powerful example of what can be achieved through dedication and teamwork.

Policy Refresher Your Guide to Success
Hey Team! Let’s ensure we’re all on the same page with our essential policies. Here’s a quick reminder of key points to keep our workplace thriving:
Code of Conduct
Respect and professionalism are our cornerstones. Always treat your colleagues with kindness and integrity!
Attendance & Punctuality
Work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm from Monday through Friday. Arriving on time shows commitment! Keep your schedule in check to maintain our team’s rhythm. Remember to contact your Unit Head as soon as possible if you are going to be late to work or absent for a day or more because of illness or any other reason.
Annual Leave
Staff with 6+ months of continuous service are eligible for annual Leave. Leave days are as per local regulations for permanent staff, and contract stipulations for contract staff. Interns are eligible to leave for 5 days for 6-month contracts and 10 days for 12-month contracts. Staff members with less than 1 year of service will receive a prorated vacation and all staff should take a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks of annual vacation. Staff with less than 3 weeks of vacation should take at least 7 consecutive days off each year.
NOTE THAT
• Leave days must be taken within the calendar year.
• A maximum of 5 working days can be carried over to the next year, subject to approval from the Head of HCM (Unconfirmed staff can also carry over 5 days).
• Requests for vacation exceeding 5 days must be initiated at least 3 weeks in advance.
• Public holidays during vacation do not count as leave days.

What do you like most about your job and working at Mixta?
My job is mentally engaging, which I find really exciting. I also enjoy working at Mixta because of the wealth of knowledge here— there are so many professionals, and I love learning from their expertise.
Do you have a most memorable experience working with Customer Experience?
I don’t have one specific memory; rather, I have many beautiful ones, each uniquely memorable in its own way.
What are the most important qualities and values that have helped you?
Being task-oriented is key for me. As for values, I’d say excellence, empathy, clear communication, and a commitment to self-
development. Being open to feedback has been essential.
How do you stay motivated?
What keeps me motivated is the potential impact of the work—both the achievements yet to come and those we’ve already accomplished.
How does it feel to receive this recognition, and what does it mean to you?
I’m very grateful and inspired by this award. It reassures me that I’m doing a good job and that my impact is felt across the organization.
