Apprenticeships Choose an apprenticeship which is a practical hands-on programme that combines on-the-job training with classroom learning. You will usually spend one day a week at College, and the other four days in the workplace with an employer.

You can study a Level 2, or Level 3 apprenticeship and earn whilst you learn.

Level 1 courses – appropriate Entry Level qualification and/or GCSEs at Grade 2-1 (E-F) or above Level 2 courses – appropriate Level 1 vocational qualification and/or GCSEs at mostly Grade 3 (D) or above Level 3 courses – appropriate Level 2 vocational courses and/or four GCSEs at Grade 4/5 (C) or above.

All courses are 1 year apart from Level 3 courses most of which are studied over 2 years, and you must complete year 1 to enrol onto year 2.

Engineering Scholarship Programme The Engineering Scholarship Programme is a pioneering initiative supported by over 40 major employers to help nurture the Engineers of tomorrow.

As part of the scheme, eligible learners are matched with participating employers and get the chance to undertake a work placement with that company. At the end of the year you will have the opportunity to be interviewed for suitable employment or apprentices with your placement company!

The programme is an excellent opportunity for top-performing Level 3 Engineering students in their second year of study.

Moritz

Jack Plews achieved a brilliant three A grades in his A Levels in Maths, Physics and Computer Science. Jack is starting a degree apprenticeship in process and plant engineering and hopes to become a Process Engineer.

Lola Peacock and Layla Abidi both studied a BTEC in Health and Social Care and achieved A and B grades respectively.

They are both off to Teesside University, with Lola studying to become a Teacher and Layla a Midwife.

Following his successful placement with NorthLink Digital, 18-year-old Moritz Cornieje was offered a permanent role as a software developer alongside his studies.

The Showcase Event is the perfect opportunity for you to visit the College and meet your tutors. It also allows us to get to know more about you and what your career goals are, so we can help make sure that your chosen course or A Level subjects are right for you.

Once you have chosen your study option, we encourage you to submit your application as early as possible to kickstart your application process. You can apply at any time throughout the academic year - just follow these simple steps!
