• When those who had interacted with city staff were given the opportunity to describe staff’s performance, 93% felt that staff members were professional, 89% said they were accessible, and 85% considered staff to be helpful.
COMMUNICATIONS
• Three-in-four respondents (75%) indicated they were satisfied with the City’s efforts to communicate with residents through newsletters, the Internet, social media, and other means.
The remaining respondents were either dissatisfied with the City’s efforts in this respect (16%), unsure of their opinion (9%), or unwilling to share their opinion (1%). • The most frequently-cited source for City of Manhattan Beach news, events, and programming was The Beach Reporter (49%), followed by Nextdoor.com (25%), Nixle/Alert South Bay (22%), the City’s website (22%), and email notifications from the City (21%). Other sources mentioned by at least 10% of respondents included friends/family/associates (17%), Easy
Reader (16%), social media (not the City’s sources) (15%), The Daily Breeze (14%), Manhappenings (11%), and Patch.com (10%).
