Annual Community Exhibition

The Manhattan Beach Art Center proudly presents the 2025 Annual Community Exhibition, a vibrant showcase celebrating the creativity and talent of our local arts community. This year’s exhibition features the work of 115 artists who live, work, and play in Manhattan Beach, reflecting the rich diversity and dynamic spirit of our coastal city. Many of the artists represented in the exhibit are Older Adult Program participants.

Spanning a wide range of mediums—including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, mixed media, and more—this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience the artistic voices that shape and inspire our community. Whether emerging or established, each artist contributes to a collective portrait of life in Manhattan Beach through their individual perspectives and creative expressions. More than just an exhibition, this annual tradition is a celebration of community pride, creativity, and the meaningful connections forged through art.

They are also a Center for Loss and Life Transition and provide services for other losses and life transitions.

The founders, Claire Towle, LCSW and Patty Ellis, Certified Bereavement Educator, have been providing services for the bereaved in the South Bay for over 25 years. POEMS FROM THE POETRY CIRCLE

The Great Writers By Eric Grow

All the great writers are dead, and replacements will be hard to find.

That’s because reading scores keep declining every year in the public schools. Consequently, grammar and syntax are complete mysteries to an entire generation. I’m sure that many of you are nodding your heads, perhaps noting that this poem is powerful testimony to all of the above. Well, if that’s the way you feel, the next time you vote against a school bond issue, just remember this poem.
