1971

North Florida Mental Heath Center (NFMHC) Established to cover 10 counties

1972-78

NFMHC received grants, expanding services to children and seniors, and enhancing treatment for alcoholism

1979

NFMHC’s 10 county zone divided into two with NFMHC servicing Hamilton, Suwannee, Columbia, Lafayette, Union, and Bradford counties and Mental Health Services, Inc. servicing Dixie, Gilchrist, Alachua, and Levy counties

1980-95 Independent growth in both services offered and counties covered
