" Clean Water Hero: Building a Best in Class Water System for the City of Newark" Director Adeem is nationally recognized for his leadership and handling of the City’s Infrastructure upgrades. He led the massive infrastructure project of replacing all lead service lines for the people in the City of Newark.

Zach Schafer is Senior Advisor to EPA’s Assistant Administrator for the Office of Water, Radhika Fox. The Office of Water works to ensure that drinking water is safe, wastewater is safely returned to the environment, and surface waters are properly managed and protected. Prior to joining EPA, Zach served as the founding Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at United for Infrastructure and Senior Policy Director for the Council on Competitiveness. Zach also worked on water and climate policy at the White House Council on Environmental Quality during the Obama Administration. He holds a B.A. in economics, international affairs, and history from the University of Delaware and an M.A. in Energy and Environmental Policy from the Biden School of Public Policy at the University of Delaware. .

Kristine Wheeler is the Director of the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Water Supply Protection. The Bureau of Water Supply Protection implements the drinking water regulatory program for the State of New York. Kristine has over 23 years of experience in Civil Engineering in both the public and private sector, 18 years of which has been with the Department of Health.

She is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New York and holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University.

Sara Kelikoaelakauaikekai Suzuki is Native Hawaiian, originally from the Island of Maui. She is currently a Graduate student at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health in the department of Sociomedical Sciences pursuing her Master’s in Public Health. Sara has participated in summer internships with the Departments of Native Hawaiian Health and Hawai’i Pacific Health.

She is a board member of the American Public Health Association American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Caucus and the New York chapter of the Association of Medical Facilities Professionals.

She gained experience in construction as a project management intern with CORE Construction. Her long-term goal is to give back to the Hawaii community by becoming a leader in public health who advocates for them on a broader scale through public health policy and construction management.
