Drop Bear Beer Co. brings craft innovation to Alcohol-Free Beer.

On a mission to bring true craft to alcohol-free beer, Drop Bear Beer Co., which launched in 2019, is the UK’s top rated specialist brewer of alcoholfree beers.

Both founders, Joelle Drummond and Sarah McNena, have a lifelong passion for craft beer, and identified a gap in the alcohol-free market for a true craft beer brand when Sarah took a break from drinking alcohol in 2018. The idea quickly grew and the pair created their first experimental brew with just a saucepan and a jam thermometer in their kitchen. Just seven months and two professionally brewed products later, the brand was launched with the award winning, Tropical IPA and the Yuzu Pale Ale, which were soon followed with the sophisticated and highly acclaimed Bonfire Stout. Their craft lager will be the fourth beer launched by the duo in Autumn 2020, and promises to be a wild card in a sea of ‘safe’ low & no lagers. Drop Bear Beer Co. is now one of the few solely non- alcoholic brewers in the country, and the first all-female run alcohol- free brewery in the world.

All of Drop Bear Beer Co’s products are traditionally brewed, by people who just want one thing and that’s to make great tasting, real beer. The emphasis is on the craft of brewing the best beer that just happens to be non-alcoholic, so the company brew their beer as it should be brewed whilst using only the finest, natural ingredients to produce all varieties with an ABV of less than <0.5%, that’s less alcohol than a banana! Their range is a significant evolution for the alcohol-free beer market, and that expertise has been recognised by both experts and consumers with the title of Best Alcohol-Free IPA Gold Award for their Tropical IPA at the Imbibe Low & No Taste Awards 2020, and consistently high customer ratings. Recently they also won Double Gold (New World Lager), Gold (Bonfire Stout), Silver (Yuzu Pale Ale), and Bronze (Tropical IPA) at the European Beer Challenge.

Drop Bear Beer Co. not only champions the craft in craft beer, but also does something a bit different with it, with their visionary approach to flavour profiles. With a hoppy punch to their IPA and a unique citrus pow to their pale ale, they are forging the way their own path in the art of craft beer.

Drop Bear Beer Co. also differentiates themselves from other alcohol-free beers by not adding lactose to their recipes, meaning that the entire range is truly vegan. All of their varieties are also gluten- free and very low calorie, appealing to those on restricted or specialist diets.

TROPICAL IPA:

HOPPY | TROPICAL | PUNCHY

The Gold Award and Great Taste Award winning Tropical IPA is an alcohol-free beer with real bite. With an abundance of tropical hops bursting through the roasted coffee and dark chocolate base with blasts of passion fruit, stone fruit, and citrus, it’s perfect for the traditional bitter drinker, packing the punch of a full-strength IPA. YUZU PALE ALE:

The Bronze Award winner at the 2020 World Beer Awards. Easy drinking for the fierce, this alcoholfree pale ale is the perfect summer beer with a lot to shout about! Dry hopped with refreshing floral and grapefruit hops, a splash of yuzu bursts through the toffee base to create a balanced and unique flavour experience. Best served cold. Vegan and Gluten-Free.

BONFIRE STOUT:

SMOKEY | ROASTED | SMOOTH

All about showcasing those specialty malts, Drop Bear’s Bonfire Stout is the UK’s top rated alcohol-free stout. Complex notes of roasted coffee and smoked malt awaken the senses whilst hints of dark chocolate burst through to create a carefully crafted balance of flavours. Inspired by the traditional Irish stout and German Rauchbier, this brew provides a refreshing and smooth finish. Vegan and Gluten-Free.

LAGER:

CRISP | SMOOTH | MOREISH

In true Drop Bear style, Drop Bear’s lager which is due to launch in Autumn 2020, promises to bring something different to the market. A full flavoured yet easy drinking IPL, this brew will showcase some of the brewers’ favourite hops. Vegan and gluten-free.

They use renewable energy and recycled materials throughout their supply chain including their renewable energy powered company vehicle, ‘Watt’son. Their collaboration with Offset Earth enables them to plant 12 trees per employee per month whilst also sponsoring a number of global renewable energy powered projects to offset their carbon footprint. They also have B Corp status pending, becoming one of only a handful of UK breweries to achieve B Corp status which reinforces their commitment to sustainability.
