Fungi Fontbook
Starting this project, I wanted to create something out of my comfort zone. Started off my research looking for something interesting to turn into a font. Looking through font-sites, I stumbled onto the font, Mushies. This font takes on the mushroom-themed typeface by making each letter a mushroom illustration.

room Regardless of the intriguing design. The process of illustrating this on Glyphs was difficult for it’s multiple vectors. So instead, I looked for a font that had a simpler, yet just as intriguing of design. Aiming to strike that balance of readability and the peculiar shape of fungi.
The second font used was inspired by Julia Zakrocka’s ‘Fungi Typeface’, focusing on the funky-shaped mushroom styled font. Taking my own liberties, I mixed her typeface with the Bodoni Old Style Italic typeface as reference.
The mixture between the two and my own interpretations of the fungi typeface focuses on the playful font while still readable.

How does one us my font? Cook them, fry them, stick them in a stew. This font can be used in a plethora of ways. Namely titles, big paragraphs, and many more. Give it a try, you will be intrigued of the use of the odd and peculiar design of the Fungai Font.
