OLIVER MCDONALD (11)
After finishing his secondary education at Mazenod, Oliver McDonald officially launched Oli in late 2012 from a small home studio, but the idea had been in the making since he was 13. The idea was to create something original, authentic and raw.
Oli continues to hand draw and hand-print all of his t-shirts with his team out of their studio in Perth. With a heavy emphasis on extreme detail and subtle intricacy, Oli aims to create products that genuinely feel like a piece of art. Now the director of Oli Clothing, his clothing label is a well-established brand across Australia with a Mount Lawley brick and mortar store as well as an online store.

Oliver’s role at Oli Clothing is to design and create the collections as well as run both stores, alongside partner, Phoebie and their son Percy. “While at Mazenod I learnt the importance of being dedicated and having a good work ethic,” Oliver said.
This work philosophy has helped him in the establishment of his own business.
“The most important thing is to enjoy your time at Mazenod. I met some of my best friends there and I still keep in contact with them today, eight years on,” he added.
