The Black Nurse Practitioners of Palm Beach County is a non-profit organization dedicated to Advance Practice Registered Nurses and Nurse Practitioner students of color from a multicultural background in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Our goals are to mentor APRN students, support and promote advancement of APRNs and provide health education and awareness to our community. We grew from 10 to 200 members in 10 months. We value ethnic inclusiveness, our organization consists of black nurse practitioners from America, Africa, Haiti, Bahamas, and Jamaica. We understand the importance of belonging to a professional organization that sees the value in diversity, optimal health and cultural awareness.

During Covid BNPPBC's impact was felt in the community. We were the first organization to spearhead a mobile testing site in Riviera Beach. We organized several drives through hand sanitizer and mask giveaways in Boynton Beach, West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. We collaborated with other community health organizations to provide food delivery in Belle Glade.
We are keenly aware there is no better time than now, for Black Nurse Practitioners to ban together in a professional organization to not only elevate but prosper.
