5 In addition, the MMC consulted with C40 Cities, Resilient Cities Network, Cities Alliance, and the Global Parliament of Mayors (GPM), among others, to develop an inclusive process for the Fund’s inaugural round. 6 Established in 2019 with funding from the EU and IOM to support eighty waste management micro-enterprises (with eighty tricycles) that have registered 30,000 households for waste collection in one year. Sixty-seven percent of those in the original scheme were rural migrants who are now able to provide income stability for themselves and their families.
