LHAT’s Awards Program inspires excellence by recognizing theatres and individuals for their significant accomplishments or distinguished service.

The Outstanding Historic Theatre Award recognizes a theatre that demonstrates excellence through its community impact, quality of programs and services, and quality of the restoration or rehabilitation of its historic structure. An award-winning theatre will have demonstrated excellence through significant achievement, the impact of its services and breadth of populations served, and the length of time and/or intensity of its activities.

Each year, one theatre and one individual are honored by LHAT at its annual conference. Former winners include the Fabulous Fox in Atlanta, New York City Center and Playhouse Square in Cleveland.

JAMES M. PORFIDO ATTORNEY AT LAW, LLC Dedication and Diligence James M. A welcome from our President It is our delight to be able to bring the world’s greatest entertainers so close to home! This year is no exception. The 2016-2017 season is a mix of returning favorites and exciting new events. By the time this season concludes, over 200 events will have been held on our stage, from world renowned performers such as Tony Bennett and Kristin Chenoweth, to touring Broadway shows like Once and Annie, to New Jerseybased organizations including New Jersey Ballet and New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, to the hundreds of children who participate in our afterschool performing arts program.

I was thrilled to travel to Chicago recently to receive the League of Historic American Theatre’s 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre award. It was an honor for me to accept this national award on behalf of our entire community. For nearly 80 years, MPAC has been instrumental in stimulating Morristown’s economy, building our downtown and nurturing creativity through the arts and entertainment. As a non-profit performing arts venue, we simply would not be here today without the extraordinary commitment from our community members. We sincerely appreciate your patronage.

Looking ahead, we are pleased to present even more community-based initiatives this year, which started over the summer with our free summer movie series and lunchtime concert series Music Beyond Borders, and continues with our pre-show local emerging artist performances on the plaza.

Our education and outreach efforts remain central to our mission. This past year, over 40,000 children were touched by MPAC events, many exposed to the arts for the first time; including students who participated in our “PAS on the Road” program in distressed school districts such as Paterson. We continue to partner with local school districts, daycare centers, hospitals and social service organizations to ensure the arts are accessible to all children and adults in our neighborhoods.

This year we began an exciting journey with The Miracle Project, an expressive arts program for individuals with autism and other disabilities. This is one of the most anticipated initiatives we launched this season as we continue to strive to make performing arts experiences welcoming to all individuals including those with special needs. Our Education Department is working with The Miracle Project to undergo training to better serve these children and engage them in theatre arts.

We continue to make strides to improve parking options and customer service. Everyone at MPAC is dedicated to serving our community and creating a welcoming atmosphere at which you, your family and friends can come enjoy world class entertainment. We look forward to seeing you here often this season!

A welcome from our Board Chairman On behalf of the Board of Trustees at MPAC, I welcome you to the theatre! We hope that you will enjoy the many wonderful performances that will take our stage this season. We are thrilled to bring the finest performers in the world to Morristown.

I always enjoy show nights because you can see just how much of a buzz an event at MPAC creates. The sidewalks are full of people and the restaurants are teeming with guests – it brings an energy to town that only the anticipation of seeing a live act can deliver.

Over the years, we have continuously worked to improve our building – preserving its historical integrity while adding the amenities that today’s audiences require. We thank you for your continued support over the years to help make these improvements possible.

As a non-profit organization, ticket sales do not cover the complete costs of all of our programs. MPAC presents a number of education and outreach initiatives in the community, and our fundraising efforts help to cover the costs of these programs.

We are committed to making the arts available to people of all means, whether it is a concert in our building, an afternoon theatre class in a disadvantaged community or a free concert at the Morristown Green. If you are not a member, we hope you will consider supporting our mission and assisting us to make arts experiences available to all.

MPAC’s economic impact on the region is over $15 million, based on the Americans for the Arts Economic Prosperity calculator. With over 200 events on our stage annually, and numerous free programs and education programs that touch the lives of thousands of children, the return to the community is much more than what can just be calculated in dollars.

On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, MPAC held a reception for all students who participated in the contest. Over one hundred people, including the artists, their friends and familyies attended this special reception where the winners of the 2016-2017 MPAC Program Cover Art Contest were announced. Hannah Coward, Junior at Randolph High School, Hubert Deiparlne, Senior at Boonton High School, Miyu Liu, Junior at Randolph High School, and Jaylene Combs, Freshman at Boonton High School are the four winners who will have their pieces printed on the cover of MPAC’s program books to be seen by tens of thousands of the Theatre’s patrons.

Over 70 students from throughout Morris County participated in this year's cover art contest. All of the works were exhibited in the Art Upstairs Gallery over a two-week period in March.

Mayo Performing Arts Center Parking Options • The Verizon Lot on Maple Street is available for many shows exclusively for MPAC patrons.

• $10 parking is available for many shows at the Presbyterian Church (across the street from MPAC. ) • We are now offering the opportunity to reserve your parking in advance for many events. Look for an email on whether reserved parking is available for your show for the above lots.

Free Parking Option • FREE parking is available at Morristown Town Hall, approximately 1/3 mile from MPAC starting at 5:00 pm.

Additional Recommended Parking • Local parking garage options: DeHart Street Garage, Ann/Bank Street Garage, Dalton Street Garage and The Highlands Garage.

• The Dumont Street Lot is a short walk from the theatre via Pine Street.

MOVE - Beyond ABOUT JULIANNE & DEREK JULIANNE HOUGH

DEREK HOUGH

A true triple-threat, Emmy Award-winner JULIANNE HOUGH is known to audiences around the world for her success in the worlds of film, television and music. She became a household name as a two-time professional champion on ABC’s top-rated “Dancing With the Stars” before making a seamless transition to award-winning recording artist and accomplished actress.

Her film credits include “Safe Haven” opposite Josh Duhamel, Diablo Cody’s “Paradise” with Russell Brand and Octavia Spencer, “Rock of Ages” with Tom Cruise and the 2011 remake of the classic movie musical, “Footloose.”

In January 2016, she fulfilled a lifelong dream, playing the role of Sandy in FOX Television’s critical and ratings hit, “Grease Live!,” which was nominated for 10 Emmy Awards, winning four awards including Outstanding Special Class Program. She earned Emmy nominations in 2008 and 2009 for Best Choreography, winning the award in 2015 for choreographing, along with Derek and Tessandra Chavez, their memorable performance of Sia’s “Elastic Heart.” She returned to the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom as a judge for three seasons in 2014-15 and again in Fall 2016.

Emmy Award winning and New York Times Best-Selling author DEREK HOUGH, the only six time champion in franchise history of the hit ABC show “Dancing with the Stars,” started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. Just one year later, he moved to London to live and train with the top dance coaches in the world and attend the prestigious Italia Conti performing arts school where he studied theatre, music and dance.

A multi-talented entertainer, two-time Emmy Award winner and 8 time nominee for Best Choreography, Hough has also appeared in film, television and stage projects as an actor.

He made his feature film debut for director Duane Adler and producer Robert Cort in the feature film “Make Your Move” and has a recurring role on the ABC series “Nashville.”

His stage performances include Radio City Music Hall’s “Spring Spectacular” costarring alongside the Tony Award winning Laura Benanti and the critically acclaimed production of “Footloose” which he starred as the male lead in London’s West End. Hough will take the stage again in 2017 when he stars in the role Gene Kelly made famous in the Harvey Weinstein production of “Singin’ in the Rain” on Broadway. Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love Concert During 2017, Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love Concert will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the “Official” Summer of Love - 1967, focusing on musical highlights of that year (As well as great songs from 1968 and 1969, of course!) which unofficially kicked off with the release of The Beatles Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band on June 1, 1967. Many other seminal rock albums were released that year including The Doors: The Doors, Jefferson Airplane: Surrealistic Pillow, The Rolling Stones: Between The Buttons and Their Santanic Majesties Request, Procol Harum: Procol Harum, The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Are You Experienced along with singles like “Creeque Alley” by the Mama’s and The Papa’s, “San Francisco” by Scott McKenzie, “The Letter” by The Box Tops, “To Sir, with Love” by Lulu, “Darlin’ Be Home Soon” by The Lovin’ Spoonful, “I Was Made To Love Her” by Stevie Wonder, “Happly Together” by The Turtles and many, many others.

1967 was a pivotal year of social and cultural change that saw the birth of the rock festival in the Monterey Pop Festival that made stars out of Joplin, Hendrix and Otis Redding as well as the birth (and death) of the “Hippie” and the anointing of the “Flower Child”. That summer hundreds of thousands of young people traveled to cities like New York, Chicago and most significantly the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco to “turn on, tune in and drop out”, to meet the like minded at gatherings called Be-In’s, to find new ways of expression and to experience the music that was changing the world. Fashion changed, politics changed and rock music became an art form. The Summer of Love Concert will take you back to 1967, as well and ‘68 and ’69, to “Relive the Memories, Share the Spirit (with family and friends) and Celebrate the Songs of the Woodstock Generation – The Music that Changed the World.”

Glen Burtnik Glen Burtnik, alumnus of Styx and the original Beatlemania (he played Paul), touring bassist/ vocalist with the current version of ELO, The Orchestra, member of the Beatlesque band The Weeklings, major label recording artist and hit songwriter (“Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough” - Don Henley/Patty Smyth, “Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man” - Randy Travis, and others) brings you the Summer of Love Concert. The Summer of Love Concert focuses on iconic rock music from the period of time generally between the June 1, 1967 release of The Beatles revolutionary album Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and the famous Woodstock Music and Art Festival in 1969.

Joined by 12 or more performers including a horn section, strings, keyboardists, percussionists, background vocalists and an incredible rock rhythm section, the Summer of Love Experience recreates “note for note and absolutely live” the songs, and the psychedelically flavored spirit, of the Woodstock Generation. “I’ve always had a playlist on my iPod named ‘The Summer of Love.’ I’m actually a hippie at heart. The music of that era is probably what moves me the most,” said Burtnik in a recent interview.

Gugu Drum Group (from Shanghai) This award winning and top rated drum group from Shanghai offers a theatrical drum drama depicting historical and culturally significant drum compositions that present profound insight into unity, human evolution, awareness, wisdom, social commitment, and communication through percussive movements.

Director Yang Xiaodong and his authentic ancient drum movements as well as the actual ancient drums themselves represent a powerful lineage of drum movements dating back to the times of the Emperors of Chinese Dynasties with a contemporary approach to a moving presentation that has been featured at many outdoor festivals and arts centers throughout China. The show features drum vignettes based on timeless Chinese proverbs, fables, and fairy tales.

This performance uses traditional Chinese drums and the traditional percussive vocabulary of these ancient instruments with modern percussion techniques most famous just outside of Shanghai.

The Program King Qin & His Troops (Composer: Wang Baocan, Jing jianshu) A harsh wind blows from the West, as the King prepares his troops for the first Northern expedition during the Tang dynasty more than 1300 years ago to surround and destroy the enemy camp.

Bull & Tiger (Composer: Wang Guojie) The two animals “meet”, “play”, and “fight.”

Women generals of Yang family (Composer: Zhang Lie) The Yang Palace full of the grief, as the women of the Yang family face their enemy and inhibitor after losing most of the men in their families in battle. The women gain strength and confidence together as they defend the National spirit of heroism and the patriotism.

The Wedding of the Mice (Composer: Hao Shixun) A comedic fairy tale about the wedding of two Mice. In Chinese culture it is said that December 3rd is the wedding day for the Rat in the Chinese Zodiac (based on the Lunar Calendar). On this day this day each year, a group of elves and mice quietly play music on the decorated road, beating drums to commemorate the blessed event. They are overjoyed in the spirit of the celebration when suddenly , a giant cat appears.

Dragon Drum (Composer: Anonymous) The brute force and rhythym of the great Dragon is vigorous and brave. The spirit of the dragon brings out the true colors and celebrated the bravery of Chinese men.

Boatmen on the Yellow River (Composer: Zhang Lie) A drum symphony with song, features the voice of the men people and the drum, the boatman work together to brave the powerful waters of the Yellow River, as they make their way to the Sea. The Yellow River or Huáng Hé is the third-longest river in Asia, following the Yangtze River and Yenisei River, and the sixth-longest in the world at the estimated length of 3,400 miles long with a water discharge of nearly 100,000 cubic feet per second from Bayan Har Mountains which is where the river begins.

We celebrate the power and the beauty of the glorious water pathway. The brave boatmen of China make their way on the Yellow River to the mouth of the Bohai Sea.”] INTERMISSION

Gugu Drum Group (from Shanghai) Rolling Walnuts (Composer: Wang Baocan) The Walnut tree tells the people when it is time for harvest season as the tree branches drops its ripe nuts onto the rooftops of the homes and temples in the village. The late autumn breeze causes the walnuts to roll playfully as the girls dance and try to catch them as they celebrate joy of the harvest.

Golden Pheasant Plays on the Hill (Composer: Tian Longxi) The lively rhythm and vivid expression the magical golden pheasant plays as it moves down the steep hillside and enjoys the charming scenery landscape along the way.

Nuo (Composer: Yang Leiheng) Nuo uses the Duan Gong which is used in the ceremonies of farmers throughout China. it is a famous drum drama from the ancient folk traditions of China. It is said to be a formal percussive prayer to God to ask for the blessing of rain to promote a good harvest, and also to dispel disaster and scare away any spirit that would prevent good weather, and a good harvest.

Encore The encore celebrates the percussion and drum styles of the Western World along with drum styles from each of the countries in Far East Asia including China in a playful contemporary scene where the audience is also welcome to join the fun.

Staff George Boyd, Production Stage Manager In New York, Mr. Boyd directed the original productions of As Is; staged LILY TOMLIN IN “APPEARING NITELY” on Broadway; wrote and directed “WOODY GUTHRIE: His Life, Times and Music” Off-Broadway; and, also on Broadway, stage managed Bette Midler’s “CLAMS ON THE HALF SHELL” REVUE, Lorelei starring Carol Channing, and Enrico IV starring Rex Harrison.

He stage managed the First National Company of Beauty and the Beast in Los Angeles and La Bella y la Bestia in Mexico City en espanol. For KMP he stage managed James Gavin’s “STORMY WEATHER, the Lena Horne Project” starring Mary Wilson/Freda Payne and Rex Reed’s Ira Gershwin: Words Without Music and currently tours with their SEOP Dance Company from South Korea.

In 1989 he directed the American contingent at the First International Festival of the Arts in Shenzhen and Shanghai, China, and, when the police canceled their performances in Beijing, he proudly demonstrated with the students in Tiananmen Square.

He has done tours with Shirley MacLaine, Lena Horne, and Tony Orlando and Dawn.

Currently living, again, in Texas he has directed Litte Shop of Horrors and the world

premieres of All Hallowed, The Lady Revealed and The Diver’s Wife as well as Beehive, Smokey Joe’s Café, Crowns, the Gospel Musical starring Freda Payne, and most recently Ring of Fire, the Johnny Cash Musical Show.

Joshua Cutler, Lighting Designer Joshua Cutler has worked in film, television, and live performance for over 15 years. His work has been seen on PBS, CNN, Yahoo!, NBC Sports, and on stages across the county.

The Midtown Men As original cast members of Broadway’s Jersey Boys, they took the world by storm.

From the development of Jersey Boys, through their historic three-season run on Broadway, THE MIDTOWN MEN are together again, doing what they do best: “Sixties Hits With A Modern Twist.” Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer are taking their sensational sound on the road, bringing to life their favorite “Sixties Hits” from The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Motown, The Four Seasons and more.

THE MIDTOWN MEN are lifting audiences to their feet in venues across the continent, realizing the dream they brought to life as the iconic Four Seasons. THE MIDTOWN MEN is the next chapter for these accomplished entertainers, making them the first vocal group ever formed by the principal cast of a high-profile Broadway show.

Not only have they continued to win over audiences of all ages in nearly 2,000 live shows, their self-titled debut album, THE MIDTOWN MEN: Sixties Hits was met with critical acclaim and garnered 5 star album reviews across iTunes. The album was recorded in New York City and features the group performing such iconic ‘60s hits as, “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Up On The Roof,” “Time Of The Season,” “Candy Girl” and more. They also recorded their first radio single “All Alone On Christmas” with producer Steven Van Zandt and members of Springsteen’s E Street Band with appearances on Good Morning America, Katie, The Chew and Access Hollywood Live.

CHRISTIAN HOFF Christian Hoff is thrilled to reunite with The Midtown Men. He won a Tony Award for his performance as Tommy DeVito in “Jersey Boys”, as well as Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations. He was named “The Master of Mimicry” by Entertainment Weekly when his voicing of over 200 characters surpassed the audio book world record and was named Audio Book of The Year. His voice-over career was launched as the voice of Richie Rich in the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series. Favorite stage roles include King Herod in the national revival tour of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” Governor Hugh Dorsey in the Los Angeles revival of “Parade,” the Original LA cast of “Evita,” George M. Cohan in “George M!,” Will

Rogers in “The Will Rogers Follies,” Huck in “Big River,” and his Broadway debut in the Tony Award winning “The Who’s Tommy.” He recorded Grammy winning cast albums for both “Jersey Boys” and “The Who’s Tommy” with famed Beatles producer George Martin. Christian has appeared on NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU,” portrayed D.A. Richard Blackman on ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” federal prosecutor Thomas Grady on NBC’s “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” and the recurring role of Marty on ABC’s “All My Children.” Other credits: “Encino Man,” “Star Trek IV,” “Honor Thy Mother,” “In Love and War,” “From The Dead of Night,” “Rockadoodle,” “21 Jump Street,”“ER,”“JAG,”“Party of Five,”“Millennium,” “The Commish,” “Beverly Hills 90210,″ and celebrity guest appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “The Today Show,” “Regis,” “The Late Show,” “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Years Eve” and “Jeopardy.” In the acclaimed festival film “Bad Dog and Superhero,” Christian sings and performs the entire original film score. DANIEL REICHARD Daniel Reichard is honored to join musical forces once again with The Midtown Men. Daniel, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is best known for his portrayal of chief songwriter and original Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio in the box-office smash “Jersey Boys”, a role he originated both on Broadway and in the La Jolla Playhouse premiere along with colleagues Christian Hoff and J. Robert Spencer. He followed the success of “Jersey Boys” with a critically acclaimed performance as Candide in Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide” at the New York City Opera. After graduating with a BFA from the University of Michigan, Daniel made his New York City debut with the original cast of the world-famous “Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration”. His signature style and talent paved the way to starring roles in New York City and across the country, including his triumphant portrayal of artist and social activist Keith Haring in “Radiant Baby” at Joe Papp’s Public Theater; Man in “The Thing About Men,” whose original cast album he also appears on; and Emmet in the world premiere of the musical version of Jim Henson’s “Emmet Otter’s Jugband

The Midtown Men Christmas” at the Goodspeed Opera House. A gifted pianist and concert singer, Daniel has had sold-out engagements at New York City’s Joe’s Pub, Metropolitan Room, Ars Nova and repeat appearances at 54 Below. Other concert appearances include Symphony Space, The Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, BB Kings, Town Hall, Triad Theater, Firebird and the Cutting Room, as well as guest appearances with the Arkansas and Grand Rapids Symphonies. He can be seen as Frankie in the 20th anniversary film version of the international hit musicalcomedy “Forever Plaid.”

J. ROBERT SPENCER J. Robert Spencer is excited to return to making music with The Midtown Men. A Tony Award Nominated Actor, Independent Film Director, Producer, and Writer, he originated the role of Nick Massi in the Tony and Grammy Award winning “Jersey Boys”. He also originated the role of Dan Goodman in the Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical “Next To Normal,” for which he received nominations for both the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor, and Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. He has voiced two animated features: “Nightmare Campus” and the critically acclaimed, award winning “Grave of the Fireflies.” His portrayal as a psychopathic killer named Bob in the independent feature film “Night of the Dog” earned him a Best Supporting Actor Nomination at the SMMASH Film Festival.

The film won Audience Awards for best feature film at Palm Beach, Santa Barbara, SMMASH and PBIFF. J. Robert’s independent film company 7 Spencer Productions, with which he produced, wrote, starred and directed the comedy “Farm Girl In New York”. The film was featured on The Today Show with Ann Currey and Al Roker, and was the official selection of the Sacramento International Film Festival (Nominated for Best Comedy and Best Actress,) as well as Big Apple, Atlanta, Buffalo Niagara, and Seattle True Independent Film Festivals, distributed by Maverick Entertainment. He recently produced and starred in his second independent feature titled “Heterosexuals.”

With Wood Media Films, he executive produced an environmental documentary titled “On Coal River,” an official selection of Silverdocs, Camden, Hamptons, Chesapeake and New Orleans Film Festivals.

Through Sony Masterworks, he appeared

with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops in PBS’s “Handel’s Messiah Rocks,” for which he was Nominated for a Midwest Emmy Award for Best On Camera Performance by a Leading Actor. J. Robert is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from Shenandoah University.

MICHAEL LONGORIA Michael Longoria is proud to be joining his fellow Broadway colleagues as The Midtown Men. Michael is best known for his celebrated turn on Broadway as Frankie Valli in the Tony Award Winning musical “Jersey Boys.” Hollywood born and Broadway bound, Longoria trained at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, then headed east to attend NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned himself a BFA in Drama. Michael made his Broadway debut in the smash hit musical “Hairspray” (2003 Tony award for Best Musical), later creating the role of Joey in the original Broadway cast of “Jersey Boys” (2006 Tony award for Best Musical) before taking over the role of Frankie Valli and taking his career to new heights beginning with performing solo for hundreds of thousands of fans in Times Square for Broadway On Broadway. He went on to numerous performances on television, including “Broadway Under The Stars: A Tribute To Harold Prince”, The US Open and the “America’s Got Talent”, season nine finale with Susan Boyle and Shakira. His journey recently led him back to Atlantic City with feature performance in “That’s Life! with Joe Piscopo” at Caesar’s. Other theatrical credits include Peter Pan in “Peter Pan & Wendy” at the Prince Music Theater, for which he earned a Barrymore Award nomination for Best Actor in a musical; Chino in “West Side Story” at the Walnut Street Theatre; Mark in “A Chorus Line” at Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center; and Chuck in “Avenue X” at the Abe Burrows Theater. In Europe, he performed the role of Paul in the German Tour of “A Chorus Line”, and Baby John in “West Side Story” at the famed Teatro alla Scala-Milan.

As a singer-songwriter, Longoria has shared his one of a kind talent at such venues as New York City’s CB’s Gallery, Cutting Room, Joe’s Pub, The Knitting Factory, and Caroline’s on Broadway.

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox Imagine wandering into a nightclub somewhere on the outskirts of time. A classic jukebox in the corner plays timeless music with oddly familiar modern lyrics, incongruously marrying the 21st century party vibe of Miley Cyrus or the minimalist angst of Radiohead is incongruously married with the crackly warmth of a vintage 78 or the plunger-muted barrelhouse howl of a forgotten Kansas City jazzman. The dance floor is full of revelers twerking in poodle skirts, while at the bar well-heeled hipsters balance a martini in one hand with a smartphone in the other.

If such a place actually exists, no doubt the soundtrack is Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox. Founded by pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee in 2009, the ensemble reimagines contemporary pop, rock and R&B hits in the style of various yesteryears, from swing to doo-wop, ragtime to Motown – or, as Bradlee himself puts it, “pop music in a time machine.” The band parlayed a series of YouTube videos shot in Bradlee’s Queens living room into massive success, accruing more than 500 million YouTube views and over 2 million subscribers, an appearance on “Good Morning America,” and performances at packed houses across the globe.

The Essentials, set for release on September 30 via Concord Records and Postmodern Jukebox Records, collects 18 favorites from Postmodern Jukebox’s weekly postings. Both the songs and the styles span decades – it just happens that the decades in question are separated by about half a century. Bradlee’s choice of material ranges from the ‘80s hard rock of Guns N’ Roses to hits as recent as last year’s Justin Bieber plea “Sorry.” They’re rendered by a rotating cast of musicians and singers in fashions that date back to a time when Axl, Slash and Bieber’s parents had yet to be born – a time of street corner harmonies and torch singers, blues belters and goldenvoiced crooners.

If that hashtag denotes a modern-day mission statement, that’s no accident.

Bradlee conceived Postmodern Jukebox as a tonic for the autotuned vocals and programmed beats that populate today’s radio soundscape. Postmodern Jukebox combines a genuine appreciation for the melodies and songcraft of these recent hits with a passion for talented musicians playing real instruments.

“I just wanted to make music in the classic styles of ragtime, blues, swing, doo wop, and Motown that I loved as a kid,” Bradlee writes. The album, he continues, includes “breathtaking vocal performances, raucous horn solos, infectious dance rhythms, and nostalgic melodies - all captured the way music was recorded in the Golden Age of the record industry: with everyone together, in the same room.”

In the early days, that room was in the rather cramped confines of Bradlee’s small apartment in Queens, NY, at a time when he was one of countless struggling musicians in the city. The backdrop has grown along with the ensemble’s success, but the spirit remains the same – a collective of musicians dedicated to the timelessness of music, performing songs vibrantly and without a trace of irony. And the media has taken notice: Entertainment Weekly wrote, “Scott Bradlee’s group is known for retro-fying modern hit songs into viral success,” while Yahoo! Music added, “if you’ve been on YouTube in the last couple of years, then you’re familiar with the everything-new-isold-again brilliance of the viral phenomenon known as Postmodern Jukebox.”

In its seven years of existence, Postmodern Jukebox has recorded literally hundreds of songs, but this release compiles the best of them, the tunes that Bradlee himself calls “most essential to the PMJ universe.”

Maroon 5’s “Maps” flashes forward a couple of decades for a horn-laden ‘70s soul sound featuring the powerhouse voice of Morgan James, while American Idol alum Haley Reinhart wrings the emotion from Radiohead’s breakthrough hit “Creep” as a torch singer worthy of Julie London. Host of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° Anderson Cooper anchors Anderson Cooper 360°, a provocative alternative on CNN/US each weekday to the typical network evening newscast, going beyond the headlines to tell stories in-depth and from multiple points of view. Cooper, who joined CNN in December 2001, served as CNN’s weekend anchor before moving to prime time in March 2003 following the war in Iraq and then to a twohour, late evening timeslot in November 2005 following Hurricane Katrina.

Since the launch of Anderson Cooper 360°, Cooper has covered nearly all of the major news events around the world. Often reporting from the scene, he spent more than a month along the US Gulf Coast covering the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and has returned more than 20 times to follow the reconstruction progress. Cooper has reported multiple times from Afghanistan and Iraq, including several anniversaries of the Sept. 11 attacks and the Iraqi elections.

Cooper also covered the ongoing violence in Mexico, the bombings in London and the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict. He also anchored much of CNN’s live coverage of the funeral of Pope John Paul II in the Vatican City in 2005 and traveled to Sri Lanka to cover the tsunami in 2004.

During most of 2007 and 2008, Cooper traveled around the world for Planet in Peril, a high definition documentary about issues threatening the planet, its inhabitants and its natural resources.

Dispatches from the Edge, Cooper’s memoirs about covering the South Asia tsunami, Hurricane Katrina and other news events, recently topped the New York Times bestseller list and other best-seller charts.

Before joining CNN, Cooper was an ABC News correspondent and host of the network’s reality program, The Mole. Cooper anchored ABC’s live, interactive news and interview program, World News Now, as well as providing reports for World News Tonight, 20/20, and 20/20 Downtown. Previously, he was a New York-based correspondent for ABC News, reporting primarily for World News Saturday/Sunday.

Cooper joined ABC from Channel One News, where he served as chief international correspondent. During that time, he reported and produced stories from Bosnia, Iran, Israel, Russia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, and Vietnam. He also reported national stories that were broadcast over the Channel One News school television network and seen in more than 12,000 classrooms nationwide.

Cooper and Anderson Cooper 360° have won several major journalism awards, including multiple Emmy awards. Cooper has also earned a National Headliners Award for his tsunami coverage, an Emmy Award for his contribution to ABC’s coverage of Princess Diana’s funeral; a Silver Plaque from the Chicago International Film Festival for his report from Sarajevo on the Bosnian civil war; a Bronze Telly for his coverage of famine in Somalia; a Bronze Award from the National Educational Film and Video Festival for a report on political Islam; and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding TV Journalism for his 20/20 Downtown report on high school athlete Corey Johnson.

Joe Jackson The ever-restless songwriter Joe Jackson traveled the world to record ‘Fast Forward,’ his first collection of original songs in seven years, released October 2 via Work Song/Caroline.

Originally conceived to be released as a series of EPs, the album was produced and arranged

by Jackson, and features four sets of four songs recorded in four different cities -- New York, New Orleans, Berlin and Amsterdam -- each with a different set of first-call supporting musicians. The results rank among the richest and most rewarding music of his storied career.

NEW YORK Jackson has called New York home for many years. He recorded these tracks with Bill Frisell on guitar, Brian Blade on drums, his longtime bassist Graham Maby, and jazz violin star Regina Carter. Along with three originals including the album’s title track, these sessions feature a scorching take on a New York classic, Television’s “See No Evil.”

AMSTERDAM Distinguished by the most diverse instrumentation of the four sessions, Jackson is joined on these songs by frequent collaborators Stefan Kruger and Stefan Schmid from the band Zuco 103, the Concertgebouw orchestra, and the project’s only guest vocalist, 14-year-old Mitchell Sink (from Broadway’s ‘Matilda’).

BERLIN Berlin is Jackson’s second home, and he recorded here with two expatriate American musicians: acoustic bass master Greg Cohen (Tom Waits, Ornette Coleman, Bob Dylan) and Tindersticks drummer Earl Harvin. These sessions produced the album’s second cover, Jackson’s modern English take on the 1930s German ‘Kabarett’ song “Good Bye Jonny.”

NEW ORLEANS Jackson traveled to one of his favorite cities, New Orleans, to record with an all-local cast including three members of the funk band Galactic -- drummer Stanton Moore, bassist Robert Mercurio, and guitarist Jeff Raines -- and a horn section led by saxophonist Donald Harrison.

These career-spanning shows will feature Jackson “as my own opening act,” playing a short solo/piano set before bringing out a full band which will include Maby on bass, guitarist Teddy Kumpel (Rickie Lee Jones, Feist), and drummer Doug Yowell (Suzanne Vega, Ari Hest).

Joe Jackson’s last release, 2012’s ‘The Duke,’ was an ambitious, horn-free tribute to “fellow music pioneer” (NPR) Duke Ellington, which Rolling Stone hailed as “movingly subtle.”

Happy Together Tour The Happy Together Tour returns to town featuring the biggest hits of the era. This year the tour will include six headline artists with fifty-three Billboard hits amongst them. The acclaimed yearly summer tour that is going into its 8th consecutive year, delivers the best music of that time, alongside first-class Multimedia production. Fans are offered the unique opportunity to relive that legendary time in culture and music.

The incomparable lineup includes hosts, The Turtles Featuring Flo & Eddie, The Association, Chuck Negron formerly of Three Dog Night, The Box Tops, The Cowsills and The Archies starring Ron Dante.

The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie are the signature headliners of the Happy Together tour and act as your musical hosts with their crazy antics, satire and boatload of hits. Led by vocalists Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman, known as Flo & Eddie. The Turtles have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Their hits include: “Happy Together,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “Elenore,” “It Ain’t Me Babe” and “You Showed Me.” The Association is one of the most popular and successful bands to have come out of the sixties. They have sold millions of records, and have seven Grammy Award nominations. They are best known from their number one hits, “Windy”, “Cherish” and “Never My Love.”

Chuck Negron, formerly of Three Dog Night, brings his rock star energy to the stage every night. He performs the group’s biggest hits including: “Joy To The World,” “Mama Told Me Not To Come,” “Shambala,” “One” and “Easy To Be Hard.”

The Box Tops from Memphis, Tennessee, are the newest addition to the Happy Together lineup. The Box Tops recorded a string of Top 40 hits including the worldwide #1 smash song, “The Letter,” and others including “Cry Like A Baby,” “Soul Deep,” “Neon Rainbow” and more.

During the 2017 HT Tour, the The Box Tops will be celebrating their 50th anniversary, and the 50th anniversary of “The Letter.”

The Cowsills have been dazzling crowds the last two years on the Happy Together tour with their effervescent brand of contagious pop magic. Bob, Paul and Susan Cowsill are a family singing group and the original inspiration for television’s, The Partridge Family. Best known for songs “The Rain, The Park and Other Things,”“Hair,”“Indian Lake” and “Love American Style.”

The Cowsills appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.

Rounding out the lineup and another newcomer to Happy Together is The Archies’ Ron Dante. Ron Dante is the lead singer for the group which is best known for the classic #1 hit of 1969, “Sugar, Sugar.” Other well-known songs include “Bang-Shang-A-Lang” and “Jingle Jangle.” Ron Dante had another top 10 hit in the summer of 1969 with “Tracy.”

The Happy Together Tour began in 1984 with mainstays The Turtles. It started up again in 2010 and this is it’s 8th consecutive year. The passion for the music has withstood the test of time, and The Happy Together Tour brings that magic back to fans, night after night.

Terry Fator: The Voice of Entertainment One might think that with finding success after 25 years of performing at county fairs and oddball venues, the moral of singercomedian-celebrity impressionist Terry Fator’s story might be the cliché of: Never give up on your dreams. But, when it comes to Fator’s story of success after 40, that old adage doesn’t quite ring true.

“I actually don’t believe in not giving up,” laughs Fator, 49, who was ranked No. 2 on Forbes’ list of the top-earning comics just behind comic legend Jerry Seinfeld in 2013.

“It’s okay to give up because I did. I worked for 25 years playing every fair, small club and kids’ party I could and it just felt like it wasn’t going to happen. I resigned myself to just playing kids parties. That was okay for me. But, I didn’t stop working and doing the thing that I love to do and getting better at it.

Once I did that, something finally happened for me.”

That “something” was NBC’s hit competition show, “America’s Got Talent.” After turning down a chance to compete on the first season of the show, his fans wrote the show saying they just had to have Fator on.

Producers called Fator and invited him to audition. After seeing, and liking, Season 1 of the show, Fator went for it, and in 2007 the then 42-year-old comedian became the “America’s Got Talent” Season 2 champ, taking home the $1 million prize and title of “Best New Act in America.”

Fator’s story began long before “America’s Got Talent.” His first taste of entertainment came at age eight when he tried his hand at magic with the help of a hypnosis book. “I unsuccessfully tried to hypnotize my friends, but then in fifth grade I found a book on ventriloquism and that came pretty quickly for me. I was always fascinated with all forms of entertainment, but especially magic and puppets. But other kids in school were doing magic, and I wanted to be original so ventriloquism became my thing,” says Fator, who rounded out his creative endeavors by taking on the lead in many school and church plays as a kid, and later fronted the band Texas the Band from the late ‘80s through 2001. He was close to signing a record deal with Warner Bros. until they told him he had to take the ventriloquism out of his band performances. That was a deal-breaker for the entertainer.

It wasn’t long before Sin City would recognize Fator as the headlining act he was destined to be. In 2007, he signed a $1.5 million deal to perform at the Las Vegas Hilton. The following year Fator signed what has been described as “one of the largest entertainment deals in Las Vegas history” to headline his own show, “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment,” at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. In 2015, the show celebrated its sixth anniversary at the iconic Strip resort which followed a contract extension that finds Fator calling The Mirage home through 2016.

As a young kid, Fator would practice talking without moving his lips in the privacy of his closet and while he was working odd jobs, hiding his rehearsals from his unsupportive father. At age 10, he bought a $20 puppet from Sears, but its head and eyes didn’t move, making it hard to really get his act down. His mother took the puppet apart, gave him a whole new body and slapped a wig on his head – Fator was on his way to practicing with a real puppet that he named Josh. He soon graduated to a semi-professional puppet, which he used until age 18, and onto his first real professional puppet that he named Walter T. Airdale, a country singer, who is still a part of his act today. Little by little Walter was joined by an eclectic cast of characters, including Winston, the Impersonating Turtle; Emma Taylor, the selfie-taking tween with the big voice; Maynard Tompkins, the Elvis Impersonator; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor and many others.

“I’m grateful that I didn’t find success until my 40s,” admits Fator, who hails from Dallas, Texas. “I’m not sure I could’ve handled success at a younger age. It can screw your

I was so down. I thought, ‘Why am I doing this? It’s never gonna happen. I’ll never have millions of people that enjoy my gift.’ But then I thought, ‘Wait a second. I’m lucky that I get to do what I love and I do love this. So what if I always have to play for first graders or kids parties or county fairs? I’m still doing what I love and I’m not going to stop. It’s better than going to work at a real job to just pay the bills,’” says the showbiz journeyman.

Today, Fator impersonates more voices than he can count with the help of more than a dozen characters singing everything from Nat King Cole, Garth Brooks, Roy Orbison, Dean Martin, Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Bruno Mars and many more.

Today, Fator finally has that audience of millions who enjoy his work through his sold-out and award-winning live show, multi-platinum selling DVDs (his debut DVD, “Terry Fator: Las Vegas” charted four times platinum), and numerous memorable

television appearances. The industry has certified him a bona fide superstar, as well, with Simon Cowell declaring Fator to be “one of the best entertainers in the world” and The Best of Las Vegas Awards honoring “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment” with awards for Best Show, Best All-Around Performer, Best Impersonator and Best Overall Show.

“The best thing about all of this is that now my creativity is not shackled by my lack of finances. Now, if I have an idea I can actually do it and do it right,” he says. In 2013, Fator released a country music album “It Starts Tonight” as well as a children’s book Lamu, The Christmas Kitten which is a story of the life of Jesus Christ as told through the eyes of his cat. In 2014, “Terry Fator: Live in Concert,” a DVD showcasing Fator’s 2013 Las Vegas show, was released nationwide and simultaneously an updated version of the Las Vegas stage show was launched.

What’s next? “I just always want to entertain.

That’s it. I never had fans before and now that I do I just want to keep them smiling and laughing,” he adds.

TOTO Toto returned in 2015 with an album that could be defined as a realized vision three plus decades in the making. The recordings on TOTO XIV exhibit world-class musicianship, masterful arrangements, topical lyrical commentary, and melodies that the collective genius of Lukather, Paich, Porcaro, Williams and their assembled bandmates bring to life. This new studio album is arguably the true follow-up to a TOTO IV, which made the band global superstars, and the band’s first studio album since Falling In Between (2006).

The sessions were co-produced by CJ Vanston, who Paich looks upon as, “everything a producer is supposed to be and more – a musicians producer.” Vanston states, “There have never been better musicians on the planet, especially in a band together. This is an amazing record and I am completely thrilled to be a part of it. This is a dream job for me.” Porcaro offers an additional thought stating, “I think the band is hit upon a very healthy creative tension for this project. I’m very excited about it.” For Williams he reflects, “Just imagine being able to stand on stage in front of enormous crowd of people, and you are playing great music with the best musicians in the world, and you look around, and they are some of your best friends in the world. It’s the best feeling any person could have.” For Porcaro he shares, “It is kind of hard to find words of what it means to have a smile on your face to go to work every day and we have the fans to thank for that – so thank you.”
