A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
Inspired by Disney’s beloved animated film, Frozen the Musical premiered on Broadway in 2018 and quickly captured the hearts of audiences around the world. Filled with breathtaking music, unforgettable characters, and spectacular theatrical magic, Frozen tells the story of two sisters, Elsa and Anna, whose love for one another is tested by fear, isolation, and the struggle to discover who they truly are. While audiences may come for the snowman, the ice castle, and the familiar songs they know and love, at its heart, Frozen is a story about family, acceptance, courage, and the powerful bond of sisterhood.
One of the most beautiful messages in Frozen is the reminder to “fill the world with light and love.” Throughout the show, the characters learn that fear can isolate us, but love has the power to heal, connect, and transform. Elsa’s journey is about learning to stop hiding and finally embrace who she is, while Anna’s unwavering optimism and compassion show us the incredible strength found in kindness and selflessness. Together, their story reminds us that when we lead with love — for ourselves, for our families, and for one another — we can bring warmth and light even to the coldest of worlds.
I was reminded of this every single day working on this production. Watching these young performers support one another, encourage each other, and grow together throughout this process has been truly magical. Their talent, dedication, positivity, kindness, and joy filled every rehearsal room and brought this story to life in the most beautiful way. I could not be more proud of the incredible young people standing on this stage today.
This production would not have happened without our incredible staff and production team! Theater is truly a team effort, and every costume, set piece, lighting cue, rehearsal, and magical moment on stage is the result of countless hours of hard work from so many dedicated people. I am endlessly grateful to everyone who helped bring Arendelle to life.
To our audience and supporters, thank you for being here today and for continuing to support our program and these amazing young artists. We hope you leave the theater singing, smiling, and inspired to fill the world with a little more light and love. (And yes… you now officially have permission to “Let It Go!”)
With heartfelt gratitude,
Cathy Roy Director
