It’s great to see you all in person again!

It has been two years since we last gathered together for our annual Starlight Ball, and that’s two years too long! Whether you have returned to enjoying events at the Theatre or at our drive-ins - or if this is your first time out with us - we thank you for being part of this extra special Starlight Ball as we “Come Together” to celebrate the return of MPAC.

Tonight is about community and coming together. It is a chance to celebrate and a chance to reunite. A time to renew old acquaintances and make new friends.

Most of all, this evening is about celebrating you. To celebrate your enthusiastic support of this theatre, in the worst of times and in the best of times. We are here today because our family of donors has given generously from the earliest days of the pandemic to bridge the most challenging 20 months in MPAC’s history. So many have given from the heart, and continue to give, because they believe in what MPAC means to our community. This has made all the difference in our journey on the long road back to recovery.

The MPAC Performing Arts Company (PAC) is an ensemble of 24 students, ages 13-21, who perform Broadway-style songs at hospitals, community events, nonprofit fundraisers and local/regional festivals, free-of-charge throughout the state.

For 13 years, the program has been providing a platform for youth who share a passion for the performing arts to use their talents to give back to the community as they receive comprehensive training, also free-of-charge, from experienced teaching artists. Each PAC member is a talented singer, dancer and actor who has successfully auditioned.

The secondary population served is the 18,000+ audience members annually who enjoy PAC performances.

The PAC performs at about 30 New Jersey venues each season. In addition to frequently performing with MPAC’s accomplished guest artists, they have been invited to perform at Walt Disney World, the White House, and with Kristin Chenoweth in My Love Letter to Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and the Dramatists Guild Fund Gala at Gotham Hall in NYC, elevating their artistic learning experience.
