Your guide will tell stories of what happened within the walls of the palace, and how a former king was imprisoned there. After time for lunch on your own, continue to Cabo da Roca – the westernmost point of continental Europe, and the place where the land ends and sea begins. From the clifftop overlook, see the lighthouse and the Atlantic Ocean sprawling as far as the eye can see. The journey continues with a drive along the Atlantic Coast to Cascais, a charming coastal resort town. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town with your guide and see why it’s famous for its beaches. After a day of touring, return to the hotel in Lisbon via a scenic drive along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Meal: B
DAY 5 Lisbon: As you’ve probably noticed, Azulejos tiles abound in the cities and towns of Portugal, decorating everything from walls of churches and palaces to public fountains, houses and park seats. These tiles represent a rich tapestry of Portuguese heritage and craftsmanship, whether depicting historic scenes or simply used as a street sign. During today’s visit to the National Museum of Glazed Tiles, learn about the history and evolution of these tiles in Portugal. A highlight of the visit may be the workshop where you hear about the different techniques used and paint your own glazed tile. What a perfect, personal souvenir of your trip to Portugal! The remainder of the day is left free of planned activities for you to pursue individual interests. Meal: B
DAY 6 Lisbon - Óbidos – Nazaré - Porto: It’s time to depart Lisbon for Porto, the second largest city in Portugal. Explore the medieval walled town of Óbidos enroute. Upon arrival, the guide leads you through its picturesque streets, lined with white-washed houses, draped with colorful, cascading flowers. Visit the Ginjinha factory to learn how this famous local cherry liqueur is produced. Of course, a sampling of the product is also provided! Continue to Sítio, a high vantage point overlooking Nazaré, Portugal’s most famous fishing village. Hear about the ‘big waves’ the area is known for (from November to February) due to the geographical location. Enjoy the spectacular view of the cliffs, beach, and colorful harbor below. Free time for lunch on your own at a local restaurant before continuing to Porto for the remainder of the day and evening at leisure. Meal: B
DAY 7 Porto: Begin discovering this colorful riverside city with a brief walking tour. See the cathedral as well as the amazing azulejos tilework of the São Bento train station in the UNESCO World Heritage historic center. Over 22,000 hand-painted tiles were used to create impressive murals of historic events. The excursion continues with a visit to Sandeman wine cellar. Port wine is a major product of the area, and you’ll discover its heritage and the intricate winemaking process during the guided visit of the wine cellar. DAY 8 Douro Valley: Today’s full-day adventure takes you through the scenic Douro Valley. Depart by coach for the village of Lamego, home to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies – one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Portugal. Visit the Sanctuary perched atop the hill, with its iconic 686-step granite staircase, beautifully decorated with the traditional blue and white azulejos tiles. Continue to Régua, renowned for its vineyards and rich wine culture, for a walk through the town and free time for lunch on your own. The final stop is at Quinta da Pacheca Winery. See the vineyards, learn about the different grapes and types of wines created from them. Sample some of their vintages before attending a workshop on cork, another local product vital to their economy. Learn about the importance of this traditional craft in winemaking, and the variety of products it’s used for from pens and notebooks to jewelry to shoes and purses. During the workshop, under the guidance of the resident artist, create your own souvenir as you depict an image related to wine culture on a small cork panel. DAY 9 Aveiro: Often referred to as the ‘Venice of Portugal’, the enchanting city of Aveiro in on today’s agenda. After a brief walk through the colorful city, you’ll understand why it got its nickname! Board a classic ‘moliceiro’ boat for a leisurely cruise through the serene waters of the
picturesque canals. While in Aveiro, learn how to make the local specialty, Ovos Moles – a traditional sweet made from egg yolks and sugar, wrapped in a crusty wafer in different shapes. Under construction since 1882, the structure combines Gothic and Art Nouveau styles with its intricate façades and towering spires. The overall size and grandeur make it one of the most remarkable buildings in the world. Park Güell is another of Gaudí’s masterpieces gracing the city. Stroll through the park with the local guide to learn how it was created and the functionality of its design. See the dragon staircase, leading up to the Hypostyle Room filled with 86 columns topped by smalldomed mosaic ceilings.

While visiting Rhine Falls - the largest and most powerful waterfall in Europe, absorb the natural surrounding beauty as you witness this site from shore. During a short boat ride, get close to the falls, hear the roar of the water rushing over the rocks, feel the mist, and experience the power of the falls. Continue by coach to the nearby village of Stein am Rhein, situated along the banks of the Rhine River, where charming alleyways lined with frescoed half-timbered houses greet you. Stroll through the well-preserved center of the Old Town for a close-up look at the façades of these houses from the Middle Ages and enjoy lunch on your own. DAY 5 St. Gallen – Lucerne – Interlaken: This morning begins the ‘rails’ portion of the trip as you board the Voralpen Express to Lucerne. Sit back and relax as the train crosses Sitter Bridge, the highest railway bridge in Europe (325’ high) and traverses the scenic Swiss landscape of rugged mountains and glittering lakes. DAY 5 Athens – Mykonos: Today is the beginning of your island-hopping adventure. Departing Athens by coach, transfer to the port of Piraeus for embarkation of the highspeed ferry. Enjoy the ride traversing the Aegean Sea, en route to the island of Mykonos. Often called the “Jewel of the Aegean,” it is the most popular of the Greek Islands with its well-preserved windmills, red-roofed churches and whitewashed buildings. Upon arrival, a city tour will show you the highlights of the island including some of its popular beaches, the traditional village of Ano Mera and the typical village square surrounded by small Greek tavernas. DAY 6 Killarney / Ring of Kerry: Fall in love with the charm of Killarney during a morning Jaunting Cart ride through Killarney National Park. Witness a demonstration of the dogs in action as they round up the sheep according to the whistle commands given by the trainer. Travel through County Donegal before crossing into Northern Ireland. DAY 10 Derry: Discovery of Northern Ireland begins with a guided walking tour of Derry before visiting the Inishowen Peninsula, the northernmost point on the island of Ireland. With its remote, rugged landscape of castle ruins, towers and ancient churches, along with Celtic crosses and pagan monuments, the sights along the peninsula weave a colorful tapestry of an earlier age in this timeless place. DAY 11 Derry – Belfast: Today’s highlight is the journey to Belfast along the Giant’s Causeway, Northern Ireland’s most famous site. Located in a picturesque countryside setting, and still surrounded by a moat, it has been called the ‘loveliest castle in the world’. Originally built as a Norman stronghold, the castle has evolved into one of the most visited historic buildings in Britain. From its military beginnings to uses as a palace by Henry VIII, private residence by royalty and political agendas, the local guide will tell tales of the history held within its walls. After visiting the castle, continue by coach to the Eastern coast to witness the majestic “White Cliffs of Dover”. Known around the world for their place in history, as well as scenic beauty, they are considered England’s most spectacular natural phenomenon. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure. Meal: B
DAY 6 London – Paris, France: It’s time to say “cheerio” to London as you depart for the station where it’s “all aboard” the Eurostar. Sit back and relax during this high-speed train ride under the English Channel via the “Chunnel” to Paris, France. Upon arrival in the “City of Light”, your coach will be waiting to take you on an orientation tour.
Your local guide will provide commentary as you drive along the Champs-Élysées and see other famous sites such as the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Bastille, Opera Garnier, Place Vendôme, Les Invalides, the Latin Quarter, the Louvre and Place de la Concorde. DAY 6 Stratford-upon-Avon – Cotswolds – Cardiff, Wales: Departing Chester, continue to another capital city, Cardiff, Wales. En-route, a stop is made in the traditional English town of Stratford-upon-Avon with its typical oak-beamed, gable-roofed houses. Visit the most famous house in town, the birthplace and childhood home of the Bard himself, William Shakespeare. You’ll also see the school where he received his education, and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, erected in his memory. DAY 3 Gdansk / Gdynia / Sopot: After breakfast, a tour of Gdansk will familiarize you with Lech Walesa - the Solidarity activist and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Walk along the “Royal Way”, see the 17th-century Golden Gate, the Neptune Fountain situated in front of the Artus Court, and the City Hall, which dates back to the 14th and 15th centuries. Visit St. Mary’s Church, the largest Gothic church in Poland, before traveling to Sopot for a walk along the longest pier in Europe. Your journey continues to Gdynia, whose harbor is home to many ships open to the public. The destroyer Blyskawica is a national treasure and the only remaining ship built before World War II, and the Dar Pomorza is a Polish sailing frigate now preserved as a museum ship. DAY 5 Warsaw: Steeped in history, Warsaw is one of the most strategic cities in Europe. Discover this capital city on an included full-day excursion. Stroll along the Royal Way to view some of the most beautiful sites in the Old Town and quaint Market Square. Pass St. John’s Cathedral and visit the Royal Castle, faithfully restored to its pre-World War II splendor and retaining many of its original furnishings. Formerly the official residence of Poland’s kings and home of the Parliament, it now houses the Castle Museum. During the visit to the Warsaw Rising Museum, an architectural monument from the early 20th century, see how the interior multimedia effects bring the reality of the insurgence to life. Lakes, pavilions, mansions, an Observatory, the Orangery, formal manicured gardens, and a multitude of palaces await your discovery during the visit to Lazienki Park. DAY 6 Warsaw – Częstochowa – Kraków: After breakfast, depart for the charming town of Kraków. Along the way, lunch is included at a local restaurant followed by a visit to the famed Monastery of Jasna Góra in Cęstochowa – the third largest Catholic pilgrimage site in the world and the national shrine of Poland. The miraculous icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa is housed in the Chapel of the Black Madonna. For centuries, the Polish people have believed that this reverent painting holds supernatural powers. DAY 7 Kraków: Kraków is the former capital of Poland, the home of the late Pope John Paul II and the only major city in Poland to remain unscathed by World War II. Meander along the cobblestone lanes on a walking tour through the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the Market Square, the biggest in Europe, which is home to Cloth Hall - the world’s oldest ‘shopping mall’. Visit St. Mary’s Church where the fireman trumpeter plays the Kraków Hejnal (bugle call) daily at noon. DAY 8 Kazimierz / Auschwitz: Today’s journey takes you to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp Museum of Martyrdom. Between 1940 and 1945 more than one million prisoners perished in the gas chambers of this Nazi concentration camp. In 1947, the Polish government preserved these grounds as a State Museum and in 1979 it also became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, symbolizing the horrors of the Holocaust. The visit includes a film showing the camp’s liberation, the flowerstrewn Death Wall, national memorials, the railway line and the remains of hundreds of barracks, all of which constitute a moving testimony to the number of lives lost. This afternoon, visit the Kazimierz District which showcases the historic center of Jewish culture since the 16th century. The main attractions of the district are Szeroka Street (where Schindler’s List was filmed); Isaac, High and Old Synagogues; Remu’h Synagogue and its cemetery and the “Pod Orlem” (Eagle) Pharmacy. DAY 5 Oslo – Stalheim: On this morning’s city tour, your local guide will walk you through Vigeland Sculpture Park as you discover the amazing granite and bronze artwork. Catch a glimpse of the regal and impressive Royal Palace. All these pleasures await, plus the bustling trade of a thriving port city. After the tour, transfer to the Oslo train station for one of the best ways to view the wonders of Scandinavia: aboard a scenic railway that traverses this breathtaking countryside. DAY 3 Iceland’s South Shore: After breakfast, your adventure to the South Shore begins with a journey through small villages and farmlands to the majestic mountains with views including Mt. Hekla, the most active volcano in Iceland, and the towering, ice-capped strato volcano Eyjafjallajokull, which last erupted in 2010. Iceland is also famous for its waterfalls and you’ll see two of the most magnificent—the Seljalandsfoss which tumbles over high rock escarpments allowing you to walk behind the waterfall, and Skogafoss. DAY 6 Victoria Falls: The day begins with an up-close and personal interaction with some “locals”…the great African elephants! Visit the sanctuary where rescued and resident elephants live. Meet with their caretakers and learn all about the elephants’ behaviors and the amazing bonds formed between the keepers and these gentle giants. After free time back at the hotel for lunch, a remarkable experience is in store as you visit the spectacular Victoria Falls this afternoon and witness the awe-inspiring beauty of one of nature’s supreme masterpieces. A local guide will accompany you through the rainforest, detailing the history of the falls and the flora, fauna, bird and wildlife that abounds. DAY 7 Victoria Falls – Kasane, Botswana: It’s time to depart Zimbabwe and journey by coach across the border to Botswana where you’ll arrive in the town of Kasane and check in to the lodge. After an included lunch, depart on an afternoon cruise on the Chobe River. You’re sure to see elephants refreshing themselves in the water, hippos peeking out to see you, and perhaps crocodiles sunning themselves on shore.

DAY 8 Chobe National Park: Experience the native wildlife of Chobe National Park on a morning safari in open vehicles. The reserve is home to giraffe, elephant, zebra, impala, sable, wildebeest, warthog and so much more. Keep an eye out for their predators which can include lion, hyena, jackal, bat-eared fox, the elusive cheetah and wild dog. After lunch at the lodge, your afternoon safari can be by land in an open vehicle or by boat on a cruise. Gather with your traveling companions for the final dinner at the lodge. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 9 Botswana – Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – Cape Town & Stellenbosch, South Africa: The safari experience comes to an end as you travel to the Victoria Falls Airport by coach for a flight to Cape Town and return to South Africa where a new experience awaits. After a short drive from the airport, arrive in Stellenbosch, the country’s second oldest town. Enjoy your free time to stroll along the oak-lined streets where Cape Dutch architecture, wine shops, cafés, and art galleries can be found. Known for its wine production, this area of the county is filled with wine farms. Sample the local product during a wine-tasting before this evening’s included dinner. Meals: B, D

DAY 10 Franschhoek: On today’s excursion, relax as you discover the country’s winelands. After a morning refreshment stop, visit the charming village of Franschhoek, showcasing another of the area’s scenic treasures. During an afternoon wine-tasting, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the wines, how they are made, the various grapes, and of course sample plenty of vintages. DAY 6 Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area: After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch will be provided after checking in to the lodge on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater, which has the largest unbroken caldera in the world and has been described as one of the great natural wonders of the world. Almost every species of African plains mammal lives in the crater, including the endangered black rhino. This afternoon, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views from the lodge before tonight’s dinner. DAY 7 Ngorongoro Conservation Area: Today’s adventure is a descent of approximately 1970 feet into the crater in the game-drive vehicles, for a full day of game viewing and a picnic lunch. A photogenic paradise, an abundance of resident wildlife freely roams the plains of the crater floor while hundreds of bird species refresh in the small lakes. Unmatched for its natural variety and breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscape exists in an area of this size. The crater is also of great archaeological importance with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area. DAY 8 Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Serengeti National Park: After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park with a stop at Olduvai Gorge en-route. As one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world, a resident guide will provide an interpretation of the gorge. Lunch will be provided after checking in to the lodge. This afternoon, participate in a game-viewing drive in the worldfamous Serengeti National Park. Covering 5700 square miles, it is Tanzania’s oldest park and one of the world’s last great wildlife refuges. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than 2,500 lions and over one million wildebeests. DAY 9 Serengeti National Park: After breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full day of game-viewing drives on the Serengeti plains. “Serengeti” is derived from a word meaning “the place where the land runs on forever,” and the vast national park remains true to its name. Aside from being spoiled by the variety of wildlife and bird species of the Serengeti, its landscape is stunningly beautiful, especially in the early morning and late evening light. Serengeti National Park – Masai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya: It’s time to leave Tanzania and return to Kenya via the Isebania border where your driver/guides will assist with the immigration procedures and transfer to Kenya vehicles / drivers. During the drive to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, a picnic lunch will take place. With rolling plains and grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see, the Masai Mara is home to the black-maned lion, Savannah (African) elephant, Cape buffalo, wildebeests, cheetah, hyena, rhino, topi, Burchelle’s zebra and Masai giraffe. Arrive at the intimate Tipilikwani Camp in the evening, check in to your accommodations and enjoy dinner. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 11 Masai Mara Game Reserve: If you choose, start the day with an optional sunrise hot-air balloon ride* (weather permitting). DAY 5 Ol Pejeta Conservancy: Enjoy a full day exploring exotic Sweetwaters Sanctuary. The camp overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers an astounding variety of animals. In addition to the big cats, there is an abundance of plains game, and you may see wild dogs and other endangered species including the Beisa oryx, Jackson’s hartebeest and Grevy’s zebra. Don’t miss the chimpanzees! This sanctuary was established to rehabilitate these animals rescued from the black market and is the only place in Kenya to see them. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 6 Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Naivasha: An early morning game-viewing drive starts the day, followed by breakfast back at the camp before starting your next adventure. Depart the Conservancy and drive towards the Great Rift Valley where a brief stop is made at the equator-crossing point. Snap photos of the signage indicating the crossing and experience the effects of the
magnetic fields while being at the center of the Earth! Arrive in Lake Naivasha in time for lunch before this afternoon’s included boat ride. Cruise along the tranquil waters of this fresh-water lake in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. Relish in the surrounding sights and sounds of the native wildlife. Beautiful birds along the banks, in the trees, and soaring above; lazy hippos yawning as they emerge from the water; African Fish Eagles swoop down to snatch a fish from the lake for dinner…it all awaits!

DAY 7 Lake Naivasha – Masai Mara: After breakfast, it’s time to journey to the final destination, Kenya’s famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Venture through the Great Rift Valley to the northern-most extension of the Serengeti Plains, and one of the richest wildlife game reserves in the country. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the camp before the afternoon game-viewing drive. With rolling plains and grasslands stretching as far as the eye can see, the Masai Mara is home to the black-maned lion, Savannah (African) elephant, Cape buffalo, wildebeests, hyena, black rhino, topi, Burchelle’s zebra, Masai giraffe and the elusive leopard. DAY 8 Masai Mara: If you choose, start the day with an optional sunrise hot-air balloon ride (weather permitting). After an early breakfast, depart on a full-day adventure on the Masai Mara Game Reserve as you continue to search for the “Big Five”, waterbucks, warthogs, Thompson & Grant’s gazelles, impalas, cheetah and more. In the afternoon, visit a traditional Maasai manyatta (village) and experience the culture of this world-famous community where the Maasai still live as they have for centuries. Interact with these nomadic people and experience their way of life. Return to the camp for your final dinner and overnight. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 9 Masai Mara – Nairobi: Your African adventure comes to an end as you say goodbye to the staff at the camp and travel back to Nairobi. Lunch is included at a local restaurant before arriving at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. Flights should depart after 6:00pm. Afterwards, enjoy a guided tour of Kampala. See the Royal Mile and Parliament building. DAY 5 Chimp Trekking in Kibale Forest & Bigodi Wetlands Hike: Kibale Forest National Park is widely considered to offer some of the best chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. Additional primates include redtailed, vervet, red colobus, black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, and olive baboons. Black beeeater and green pitta are among the bird species found in Kibale.

Gorilla Trek in Uganda
This morning, set out on a chimpanzee trek of two – four hours in the depth of the rainforest, offering the chance to see chimps in their natural habitat. Watch these captivating animals as they swing from the fruiting trees. Bird lovers are also in for a treat, as the rainforest hosts an astonishing 335 species. After the trek, enjoy a lunch of local, freshly grown and cooked specialties at Tinka’s Homestead. Learn about local culture and the history of the homestead from a family member as you absorb the lush surroundings and relaxing atmosphere while you dine. After lunch, depart on a nature walk through the Bigodi Wetlands, home to over 200 bird and eight primate species. The Bigodi conservation project began as a local environmental effort run by the communities of Kibale. Beyond conserving the wetlands and its wildlife, the project has also supported the building of a local school, safe drinking water for residents, and local health care efforts. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 6 Queen Elizabeth National Park: Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before departing for Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the journey towards the park, the incredible
scenery of the “Mountains of the Moon” unfolds. Relax during lunch at the lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Elephants, buffalo, Uganda Kob, topi, lions, and waterbuck are among the 95 mammal species inhabiting the park, along with over 50 species of raptors. A stop is also made at Lake Katwe to see the traditional methods of mining salt from the lake’s waters. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park: Set out on an early morning game drive as the sun rises over the vast savannah, illuminating the surrounding “Mountains of the Moon”, shrouded in a mystical haze. Your guide searches for lions at hunt and hyenas before they retreat into the woods to seek shelter from the sun. This afternoon, a different adventure is in store as you set sail on the Kazinga Channel, exploring the waterway known for its various bird species and hippo population. Elephants are often seen drinking from the shores, water buffalo bask in the mud, warthogs run along the shore and plenty of birds inhabit the trees. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge or enjoy an early-evening game drive through the park. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 8 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: Enjoy a final morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park before heading to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Home to approximately half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas, this ancient forest unfolds over the steep ridges of the Albertine Rift Valley, providing breathtaking views and extraordinary wildlife viewing. The remainder of the afternoon and evening are at leisure to relax and enjoy the amenities and surroundings of the lodge. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 9 Bwindi National Park Gorilla Trek: The hike of a lifetime begins as you discover the incredible biodiversity of the park on your gorilla trek! Primates, birds, butterflies and a variety of hardwood trees, ferns and plant life surround you as you trek through the park in search of these amazing animals. After an early breakfast, meet the park rangers who will serve as your guides for this fantastic experience. On average, gorilla trekking lasts three to eight hours total, but once you meet the gorillas, you will be able to spend an unforgettable hour with them in their native habitat during this awe-inspiring adventure. Depending on the length of your trek, enjoy a picnic lunch in the forest or upon returning to the lodge. After trekking, visit a local women’s cooperative to experience Ugandan culture. See how they make traditional handicrafts and learn how the arts, music and dance are practiced to preserve their heritage.
End the day with a farewell dinner at the lodge as you recount the amazing experiences and animal encounters of this journey in Uganda. Meals: B, L, D

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Louvre Abu Dhabi, featuring stunning architecture with modern-shaped domes. Paintings, sculptures, artwork, jewelry, intricately hand-crafted artefacts, ancient pottery, sarcophagi…all of this and more is on display in the museum. Opened in 2017, the museum provides an insight into the culture of life from the pre-historic era through the present and is the first of its kind in the Arab world. Stroll through the museum’s various galleries, admiring the exhibits, and see how cultures are woven together through art, in shared stories of humanity. DAY 7 Abu Dhabi: After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Abu Dhabi. Witness the majesty of the world-famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and an example of architectural styles from various Muslim civilizations. Featuring 82 domes, more than 1000 columns, 24-carat
gold gilded chandeliers and the world’s largest handknotted carpet, this mosque is a place of worship and cultural diversity. At Heritage Village, travel back in time to experience what life was like in the past as you visit this reconstruction of a traditional oasis village. See local items being hand-crafted from pottery to glassblowing and weaving. The traditional Souk resembles a bustling trading hub of days gone by and offers an opportunity to purchase locally made souvenirs. DAY 8 Abu Dhabi: Continue discovering Abu Dhabi with a morning excursion that visits the oldest and newest presidential palaces. Previously the home of the ruling family, Al Hosn Palace overlooks the coastal trade routes and houses a museum paying tribute to the city’s history. Continue to Qasr Al Watan (Palace of the Nations), a working presidential palace and a majestic cultural landmark. Get a glimpse into the traditions of the city and its ties with other countries. See the Great Hall, the Spirit of Collaboration Room, the Library and Houses of Knowledge as you visit the palace. Return to the hotel where the remainder of the day is free of planned activities allowing you to explore Abu Dhabi on your own to discover

DAY 3 Singapore: Delve into the culture and history of this amazing city, where tradition meets modern. In the heart of Chinatown, see rows of streets where traditional shophouses have been restored into teahouses, eateries and shops selling everything from Oriental arts and crafts to Chinese medicinal herbs. Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, constructed in the Tang-Dynasty architectural style, housing what is believed to be the canine tooth of Buddha. The stunning Sri Mariamman Temple is the oldest and most active Hindu temple in the city. Drive through the Civic District then take a Bumboat ride along the Singapore River. In contrast to the historic temples, this showcases the natural beauty of the river, its grand bridges, and the ‘modern’ Singapore. DAY 4 Singapore: Today’s exploration begins with the ‘modern’ architecture of the city. Visit Gardens by the Bay to see beautiful displays and learn how the architecture supports the environment. Visit the flower domes, climatecontrolled indoor glass houses, to discover how they replicate the climates needed for the variety of flowers and plants thriving within. While strolling the grounds, learn about the ‘Supertrees’ (vertical gardens up to 164’ tall) that collect rainwater and generate solar power. This afternoon, board a ship which traverses the World Heritage Sea Route along the Honkawa and Motoyasu Rivers to Hiroshima Bay. DAY 2 San José – Arenal area: En route from San José to the Arenal area, visit the Doka Coffee Estate where members of the Vargas Ruiz family have been involved with coffee production for more than 70 years. And of course there is a sampling of the final product! Continuing towards Arenal, with an included lunch along the way, a sweet treat awaits. DAY 3 Arenal area: This morning, enjoy a gentle walk along the base of Arenal Volcano, a magnificent natural phenomenon, during a visit to Arenal National Park. Your Tour Manager takes you through the forest, over the lava flows, and to the destroyed area now in the process of regeneration. Return to the hotel for lunch on your own and a bit of free time. Later this afternoon, depart the hotel for a visit to a local farm for an educational and culinary experience. Stroll around the farm with a guide as you see a variety of flora and fauna and learn about the products being organically grown. Pick tubers and other vegetables, along with fruits, to be used in the evening meal. Learn about sugar cane, the milling process, and have a taste of its derivatives. DAY 4 Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge: While in the Arenal area, enjoy a full day excursion to Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge, a remote “everglades” type wetlands, teeming with different species of flora, fauna and birdlife.
Enjoy a boat ride on the Rio Frio, where you’ll have an opportunity to see a plethora of wildlife: snake-birds, heron, comorants, howler, spider and white-faced monkeys, three-toed sloth, basilik lizards (also known as Jesus Christ lizards), turtles and much more. DAY 5 Arenal area – Manuel Antonio: After breakfast, travel to the Manuel Antonio area, famous for its national park. En route, another ‘local flavor’ awaits as you visit a “Cevichera” and witness a demonstration of how to make Costa Rican ceviche. Using the freshest fish from the area and ingredients from local farmers, this small entrepreneurship shows how collaborating with the locals supports economic community growth. DAY 6 Manuel Antonio National Park: Today’s included tour visits nearby Manuel Antonio National Park, the smallest of the parks in Costa Rica but one of the most popular. There is a magic to this park that is hard to explain. Perhaps it’s the park’s forest, mangroves, lagoons and beach vegetation that supports 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds (with migrants bringing the bird species to some 270) that make it so amazing. Among the inhabitants that can be easily seen are sloths, iguanas, agoutis, armadillos, raccoons, coatimundis and the adorable squirrel monkey. After the excursion, return to the hotel where the remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the beautiful grounds and amenities. Meal: B
DAY 7 Manuel Antonio: This morning, depart by coach to the Nauyaca Waterfalls. Upon arrival, board smaller vehicles for a ride through the beautiful landscape and wonders of the tropical rain forest to the lower falls. DAY 3 Panama Canal Cruise: Today may well be a highlight of your trip! Depart for the Gamboa area and embark a ship to begin the partial transit of the Panama Canal, narrated by a local expert. Enjoy lunch onboard while experiencing the operation of the lock as you descend 30-feet in one step and reach Miraflores Lake. Roommate Cancellation: If you are booked as a “twin” and your roommate cancels their reservation, and you cannot find another roommate, you may either travel as a guaranteed share (see above) or travel as a single and pay the single supplement.
Health and Walking on Tour: Some sites visited have limited motorcoach access and may involve considerable walking, stairs or inclines. Travelers should be in reasonably good health. Some programs include destinations in higher elevations that may have varying effects on individual travelers. Tour Managers and Coach Drivers cannot lift or assist travelers into transportation vehicles. Mayflower Cruises & Tours requires that persons requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the assistance.
Revision Fees: A fee of $25 per person per transaction will be charged for any changes, revisions or alterations made to your reservation after confirmation.
Luggage Handling: The tour cost includes porterage for one average size suitcase. A charge of $5.00 per hotel will be collected by the Tour Manager for each additional piece of luggage that you bring.

Payment Information
Listed below is a schedule of deposit and final payment due dates. You will note that the first category includes an optional Travelers Protection Plan (TPP). Within five business days of making your reservation, you must make your initial trip deposit. Once your trip deposit is made, you then have 24 hours to add on the Optional TPP if you choose to purchase. Please see “Travel Protection Plan (TPP)” section on the next page for further explanation of this offering. Rates below represent the F431L plan.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Payments for land and air arrangements, ticketed by Mayflower Tours & Cruises (less the deposit amount) will be refunded when cancellations are received prior to the final payment due date noted above. The Refund and Cancellation Policy is offered by Mayflower Tours & Cruises and is separate from the Travel Protection Plan.
If it is necessary to cancel your reservation, and you meet the reimbursement terms under Part A of the F431L plan, you may be refunded all payments, including the deposit amount, less the TPP plan cost. For full coverage and cancellation details, please go to www.tripmate.com/wpF431L.

Should you choose not to purchase the TPP, or purchased but do not qualify for reimbursement, the following per person cancellation charges will be assessed for all tours and optional excursion costs:
• 91 days or more prior to departure: Deposit Amount is non-refundable
• 90 to 45 days prior to departure: 20% of total tour
• 44 to 15 days prior to departure: 30% of total tour
• 14 to 1 day prior to departure: 50% of total tour
• Day of departure or early departure from tour: 100% of total tour
• No refund on unused portions of the tour

Part A (F431L) Exclusions for the Cancellation Waiver
Mayflower Cruises & Tours reserves the right to alter its Cancellation Waiver when a substantial amount of cancellation or postponement of travel is attributable to: conditions resulting from an act of God, natural or man-made disaster, fire, government action, civil disorder, war, hostilities between nations, or unavailability of transportation through no fault of Mayflower Cruises & Tours.
Tour Price Includes
All motorcoach transportation noted in the tour itinerary, round trip airport transfers on the tour departure and return dates (only) if air is purchased through Mayflower, services of the Tour Manager and driver, lodging, sightseeing, taxes, admissions, gratuities for waiters at included meals, as well as Mayflower Money. Included meals are clearly noted in the touring description. Air transportation is available upon request, at additional cost for all tours.
What is Not Included on the Tour
The land price of your tour does not include airfare to the tour departure point; any inter or intra-country air; airline luggage charges; items of a personal nature; meals not included on the itinerary; sightseeing attractions listed as “optional excursions” and gratuities to the full time Tour Manager, motorcoach driver, all airport skycaps, van or limo drivers, local guides. Transfers between airport and hotel are not included unless you purchase air from Mayflower and travel on tour dates. Baggage fees assessed by the airlines are not included in the air price if you purchased air from Mayflower Cruises & Tours. The optional travel protection is available to add to your booking and is not automatically included in your Tour.
Airline Security Measures
The Transportation Security Administration requires that travelers provide their name exactly to their airline as it appears on their passport to be used while traveling, along with their date of birth and gender when making reservations to fly from the U.S. When making your flight reservations through Mayflower Cruises & Tours, you will be asked for this information by our staff. Due to airline security measures, your passport must match your airline ticket name and your tour reservation name or you may be denied aircraft boarding.
Passport & Visas
Each U.S. citizen must have a valid passport. Expiration date of passport should be at least six months after the return date of the tour. If you don’t have a passport, call our office and we’ll tell you how to apply for one. Some countries require visas for entry by U.S. citizens. We will send instructions for visa applications if a visa is required for your tour. Holders of non-U.S. passports should contact their nearest consulate and inquire about the necessary passport or visa documentation required for entry into the countries visited. Visa fees and cost of obtaining a visa are not included in the tour price and is the responsibility of the traveler.
Medical Requirements
Many countries have immunization requirements. Some countries require foreign visitors to have valid medical insurance on entry. Requirements vary by country and can change. Please check with your travel professional or call our office for details on which tours need these requirements. Specific instructions will be sent to you at 90 days prior to departure if your tour requires these conditions. Mayflower Cruises & Tours cannot be liable for delay or denial of entry due to missing documents.
Itinerary Changes
There may be times when we may have to alter the scheduled itinerary, cruise vessels, hotels, shore excursions etc. due to weather conditions or conditions on the river in regards to water levels, locks, or other delays. Any changes in the itinerary due to these conditions will not result in eligibility for a refund. All itineraries are subject to change without prior notice and may need to be altered due to water level and other weather conditions.
Travel Protection Plan
Our F431L Travel Protection Plan consists of a Cancellation Waiver (Part A) combined with Travel Insurance Benefits (Part B) and noninsurance assistance services.
Part A - Cancellation Waiver
Part A of our optional travel protection plan, allows you to cancel your reservation with us, up to 24 hours prior to departure and be reimbursed up to your trip cost for the non-refundable payments you made for your trip.
*Exception: If you purchased non-refundable airline tickets from Mayflower Cruises & Tours, the Part A of the F431L TPP plan does not provide a refund for the airline tickets in the event of a cancellation. You will only be charged the TPP plan cost for the land tour instead of the plan cost for land tour with air.
Part B - Travel Insurance Benefits
Part B provides the following travel insurance benefits underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company and noninsurance assistance services marketed by Trip Mate, our plan administrator.
