(5) Team Building Fourth Grade participates in a mini Leadership Retreat. With fun games and a reflection on responsibility, it was a great bonding experience for the start of the year. Two hands raised high on the fun meter as well!

Summer 2021
Summer was a time for relaxation, reflection, and rejuvenation, yet it is with great excitement that we welcome back our Mayfield students. The positive energy that only young people can provide is once again palpable on campus. In preparation for our students’ return, our faculty and staff gathered together physically distanced for a traditional Opening Mass which was celebrated by our dear friend, and former Mayfield Trustee, Monsignor Clem Connolly from Holy Family parish in South Pasadena. While speaking about the Gospel reading, Monsignor reminded us about the importance and benefits of embracing change. At Mayfield, we have been intentional about not fearing the (6) iPad Introduction Lower School students receive their unknown or what is new, but rather seeing the changes in our world as a result of iPads and a first lesson in Digital Citizenship. COVID as an opportunity to improve, re-prioritize, and to gain clarity.Perhaps a blessing in disguise? After mass, our Campus Minister, Chris Goethals, led us through a creative and entertaining Faith Formation Retreat during which we reviewed our Goals as a Holy Child School. The day was filled with camaraderie, hope, and joy—the perfect springboard to begin the 2021-22 school year. Visit www.mayfieldjs.org.
